The greek letter Ø is pronounced "fi or phi" At least thats what I was taught, back in the day it used to mean Einstein's work function, now for me, it means the initial phase displacement in an SHM system.

It does work. Copy and paste my post (reproduced below) into a reply and press preview and you will see. You have not been typing exactly what I wrote. (Obviously btw no big deal.)
Or you can copy and paste special characters from MSWord or wherever you might find them.
NB Pressing "quote" instead will not have the same effect as I broke it up with formatting to make it display.

u converted for ur wife? u used to critizise the pope
Well, Catholics have this "thing" about Protestants and we don't necessarily reciprocate. Among their various hangups, Protestants can't participate in communion at a Roman Catholic Church, which is a sacrament required of all Christians regardless of denomination. And since I fully intend to go to Church with my family and not just sit there as an inactive non-participant, that's kind of a big deal.
Furthermore my kids are going to be Catholics, period. It is a prerequisite when marrying a Catholic, and as I very much enjoy being captain of this ship, I can't very well be the odd man out now can I?
So I figured why the hell not. It made her ecstatic, we had a discussion the night after I talked to her priest and she basically told me how this is the best thing that has ever happened and she had been praying for years and she was afraid I would go to hell for not being a Catholic - et cetera.
As for the Pope, starting to like him to be honest. I read a debate he had with a German atheist which was rather impressive, he is a little more cerebral than Karol, and much more conservative which is more suited to my taste.
And the structure of the Church is pretty incredible, there is literally a support group for everything, and quite an impressive body of theological work for me to read.

we all know who wears the trousers in ur relationship
That would be me, she usually wears skirts.
Actually we haven't had any territorial conflicts... everything is good, no fights or anything. She knows her place, and I know mine. She's really doing great with the whole housewife thing! Which is kinda surprising since my particular lifestyle is not really... normal... whatever it is it's definitely not 50s middle America. And I am really impressed at how naturally she is taking to all of this, the whole bit has been lovely. We had our neighbors over for tea and pound cake two days ago!
She makes really good pound cake... and cookies... and roast beef... and Chilean sea bass, and my God the womans crab cakes are more addictive than heroin.
No wonder I have put on all this weight (30lbs!), it's shameful because she spends all this time staying in shape and looking good for me and in turn I get fat on all this chocolate cake she bakes. My six pack is turning into a keg!
It's fun playing with the babies when my day is over too... their lucky kids! They get to spend all day with her! She sings to them (she was a music minor, incredible voice), and tells them stories and plays with them. The nannies are basically relegated to fetching things and giving advice - and very little at that, Annette is a natural mommy! She knows exactly what the girls need and when, it's pretty miraculous.
I'll tell you what, I was a pretty massive chauvinist for a long time (with some mom issues) but my respect for women is incredibly high after all of this... I don't know how they do it!
Right, well, this is all a roundabout way of saying we're solid - completely solid. I'm the husband she's the wife and there's no attempt to try and mix those borders for the sake of feminism or something like that. It's all just clicking like a movie or something!
Ya know this all makes sense too... like everything. See I think it goes like this, you can never have it all - or at least normal people can't. You can't have two helpings of the perfect family. So basically I got the choice of either having the perfect family growing up or the perfect family when its my own and I guess I chose the latter. It wasn't a selfish decision! I took the blows and had the bad childhood so my daughters could have a perfect one.
And that is the key - perfect. I'm so glad Annette knows what she is doing because I sure don't, but still the general idea is "make it perfect" and we're doing great so far.
I love being married

why?
Babies are capable of communication earlier than you think - but not necessarily capable (physically) of talking. So for that time period if you teach them sign language they can communicate and not be frustrated.
I'm also convinced (despite the fact nothing says it is so) that it will make them geniuses.
Isn't that cool??? Two little geniuses! I can just see it now, 8 years from now I will be calling out "Olivia! Isa! Come on girls its time for your telekinetic spoon bending exercises!"
Hey random thought, once they learn sign language my daughters will be destined to be trilingual by the time they are in kindergarten, first sign language then Spanish and English (it's inevitable)... pretty cool huh?!
Is that for me? If so I was thinking more of actually learning in college or something.
i'm kidding!!!!
my kids watch it, and I have picked up something from it. colours!! and naming stuff from the garden etc!!
live and let live!!!!!!!
lol  (I cant believe I actually fell for that one!)
I'll probally enrol on the course once i finished my A-levels as sign language links in with my course alot.
