When you initially join this forum expect unnecessary attacks against you

if ppl are polite and yet have an opposing view, why should we not listen to them? whereas if they are hostile, they may receive a similar reaction - its all down to one's approach.

I think we do have a problem welcoming newcomers unless they have views that agree with our own.
I have been guilty of jumping on a new-comer becuase I didn't agree with their views - and that person never posted again.
