GRAMMAR

The one I used to struggle with was 'be's'.

'When something be's like that'

It's common up north I think.

The correct word to use is 'is'.

'When something is like that'

I still disagree with the rules here. I try not to use be's, but I find it totally logical and thus acceptable. Only thing being I point it out to others. Just to annoy.

One other thing I have noticed is I have started writing and speaking in half sentences. just a few words. No sense. used to do this alot in speech as I would assume people understand. til it was pointed out. Main issue is the lack of person. as 'i' or 'you' or 'them'. Just seem to miss that out alot.

slang also affects grammar

e.g people dont say "men" instead they say "mans"

I sometimes do say "she goes" instead of "she said" but it's not a problem since i knw what tense etc is to be used where, as for the younger lot, argh!

Me too! and i say be's. It sounds right and fits in with the sentance when i'm talking. I dont realise im saying it untill sum1 says what bees?

i always seem to say to peopel "come my house" when it supppose to be come to my house :oops:

Hhmmm......that is quite hard!

Something about "better" meaning [i]more[/i] good, therefore "more better" is like saying more more better...?

I'm often guilty of saying "you best not", instead of "you better not".

i say that too :?

"you best not, go there/do that" etc

"have a munch" is also bad grammar

i always say "give it me" or "gimme it" instead of saying "give it to me"

Some examples I can think of are:

Kids not using apostrophes in their contractions
Kids mispelling and mispronouncing "pronunciation"
Kids not capitalizing "i"
Text Message Type like "thru" or "omg"
