BLACK MAGIC

Asalamu alaikum warahmatullhi wabaraktuhu,

Has anyone experienced sihr/black magic?

What was the symptoms?

Does anyone have any contacts (preferably email) of aamils (exorcists) that can diagnose and treat it?

most people use black magic as an excuse.

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

Black magic is not very pleasent or good thing to do so I say yes it is forbidden in islam!

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Q. If a man commits adultery and the wife does black magic so that he doesn't commit adultery is it allowed or not? The wife has dealt with it for many years and even said to her husbands marry her or leave me but he doesn't. So would black magic be allowed or not? If not what should the wife do?

A. Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

Black magic is a major sin, and a harm. Harm (such as one’s husband’s adultery) is not lifted by harm—for it is merely another darkness. Rather, seek the guidance and counsel of a righteous and knowledgeable scholar on how to deal with the problems.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani

hang on, wasn't there a prophet who could do some kind of magic. i don't mean miricles, but i remember something about a prophet doing magic and he competed against magicians, i think he could turn a stick into a snake and his hand glowed or something like that?

You say that everytime someone brings up this topic or the jinns one, and yeah i agree with admin, most people don't have this, its very rare and others use it as an excuse in order to avoid facing reality.

Many people who try to "cure" this black magic are in for the money. If they do it for free consider them genuine.

Zara, magic is forbidden hence a Prophet (as) wouldn't ever do magic as he (as) is free from all sins.

Do you have a reference for that?

Erm...I haven't heard that one before....sounds more like a fairy story lol.

Here's a story for you.

Quote:
Black magic (sihr) is something that definitely exists and causes harm to people. The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) was also afflicted with black magic.

A Jew by the name of Labid ibn Asim who outwardly posed to be a believer (munafiq) carried out black magic on the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace). He took the hair of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) and made eleven knots and placed it under a rock in a well called Zarwan. The effect of this was that it created uncertainty in the mind of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) as to whether he had done or not done certain things (although this had no effect on his religious and prophetic obligations). At times the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) felt he had accomplished something yet he had not done so and vice versa. The angel Jibra’il informed the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) as to what had occurred and came down with the two Surahs, namely Surah al-Falaq and Surah an-Nas. The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) together with the Companions (Allah be pleased with them all) went to the well and removed the knotted hair. As each verse was recited, the knots untied miraculously. At the eleventh knot, the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) was relieved from the effects of this black magic. (See: Tafisir Ibn Kathir & Ma’arif al-Qur’an)

I think shes talking about some miracle performed by hadhrat musa (a.s) so people would not doubt his prophet hood.

Cant remember in detail.

I'm cool, the weather has 'cooled' down.

Can't wait for the exam results to come out.

I think weather has cooled down everywhere, kinda miss the heat.

When are the results coming out? (looking forward to it, feeling positive?)

Yes, as some people have said, they were definately the actions of Moses (pbuh) when he went to Pharoah and beat Pharoah's magicians using Allah(swt)'s help.

The media, government, tried to blow us, but they can't out the flame, or doubt the name.

I don't know the diff between A2 or AS, hell i don't even know what they are (our education system is diff to yours and has diff terms used for it)

"Angel" wrote:

Let's make this simple for our Scottish Sister....

AS = 1st year of A-level
A2 = 2nd year of A-level

By successfully completing both years you have an A-level. Do you want me to make it even more clearer Wink

Black Magic is forebidden in Islam... for many reasons which i wont go into.

Although its rarely the case when actual Black Magic is in use... this is usually the excuse used by the ignorant who have no way of explaining certain events.

But that dont mean it dont exist. Yes theres alot of dodgy people into this id advise steer clear of them. Mostly its some perp whose in it for the money ...that and the power of suggestion not to mention circumstance. But yes it exists Muslims are forebidden to use it, symptoms are usually: headaches, nausia, depression possibly even delisions but never heard it being any stronger than that. Its used to harm others (which is why its forebidden) but i have no recollection of it being any stronger than that.

Black Magic and controling of Jinns is forebidden and NO GOOD can come of it at all, but that dont mean it dont exist and that some demented people dont use it.

PS: MBro+Angel theres a time and a place for such rants its called the No Topic thread use it.

Back in BLACK

is anyone apart from me getting scared of black magic?

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

Black Magic is true - fact.

And it does happen - believe it or not there are some sad people out there who have nothing better to do than caste spells and charms on others  .

Many people of rank have magic done on them by evil people. Sayyidina Umar radhiyallahu anh had magic done on him by the Jews, Hadrat Madani rahimahullah also had magic done on him by evil people.

There are a group of specialists in islaam called aamileen who specialise in dealing with the effects of magic and envy.

Infact there is a hadeeth to the effect that most believers will experience difficulty due to the effects of envy. Infact in one sharah of this hadeeth that I have heard the salafi Alim said that this could be an explanation for people getting cancer and diabetes and kidney failure etc - due to the underlying hasad in peoples hearts.

People can be protected against these things.

I for one believe that someone has in the past done some black magic on me and this is on the basis of an alims prescription - suffered ill health and was prescribed as suffering from nazar also and given ta'weez to counter this.

Recently I have a suspicion that someone else has done something on me - but as that has not been confirmed by the Amil Sahib yet I cannot say anything.

Ya ALLAH Madad.
Haq Chaar Yaar

Asalamu alaikum warahmatullhi wabaraktuhu,

Unfortunately this has become a problem in our society
and there are numerous advertisements of people who
claim to be able to do things i.e cast spells of magic.

Some specialists in treating magic are greedy for
money or fake and that makes finding someone
genuine difficult.

t.h.choudhary

you don't often hear about black magic in Britain, its more common in africa and asia

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

Not denying the existence of Black Magic. Afterall it has been done to prolific Muslims in history as you mentioned.

But I have seen too many 'scholars' be too quick to say its that. I knew someone who ran away from home. A scholar said its magic. Later on it was found out he owed someone a lot of money.

In the same way, Med maybe it takes a taweez 7 days to cure a cold?

PS suspicion is not a good trait...

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

Allahmdulliah i havn't experinced anything with black magic and i hope inshallah i wont ever, from what i've heard it seems a scary thing. Its typical in our Asian community to blame stuff on black magic and jinn when something goes wrong.

asalamu alaikum warahmatullhi wabaraktuhu,

In asian communities there is a lot of magic and people often jump to the conclusion of magic instantly but sometimes the problem is genuinely magic and requires treatment
