the media is pretty much saying that Islam is the enemy.
Well, no they aren't. But extremist Islam typically takes on hostility to non-Muslim rule and unquestionably the media have difficulty reporting Muslim disturbances without offending. You are bound to feel stung by that. Additionally some media are not predisposed to talk nice about it, for better or for worse. If you are committed to keeping peace it is fairly obvious that your issue is both with organisations like the BNP and with extremist Muslim organisations. If you are committed to feeling sorry for yourself then your issue is with the media, those in power and anyone such as the BNP who dislikes you.
If Nick Griffin is clear in his calls for ethnic cleansing he can be prosecuted. He is certainly treading a tightrope. I asked what measures you would like to see in place to reduce the threat of the BNP.

of course they are.. I guess u haven't heard the term Islamophobia. Anyone with half a brain cell could see that the media is largely to blame for it.
as I've already stated, just compare their media campaign with Abu Hamza as compared to their media campaign with Nick Griffin for starters and how its influenced Abu Hamza's trial.
Is that equality in the media?
When you got frontline headlines explicitly saying that the "Enemy is in our midst".. and points to Muslims.. is that the media acting responsibily?
There have numerous programmes on telly, that go out asking the average joe public what they think of Islam. In the majority of cases they only know what has been fed into them through the MEDIA.
I don't know where u've been for the past years.. but here a few headlines:
The Daily Mail:
"Fanatics with a death wish: I was born in Britain but I am a Muslim first"
The Daily telegraph:
"Gangsters destroy distilleries in the name of Islamic purity”
"Islamic schools where zealots learn to hate West”
"London to host Islamic ‘celebration’ of Sept 11”
"Islamic extremists join Battle in Britain”

How would you write those headlines?
I 100% expect that if Jews or Buddhists were behind the outrages attributed to Muslim extremists, our front pages would talk of Jewish or Buddhist extremists. The trouble is when a bunch of Muslims do something embarassing you don't challenge them, you challenge the media and the government.

the front pages would talk about the Jews the same way.., hmm, mate keep telling yourself that..
The Muslim community does challenge the violent minority.. you don't know that.. why not? because the mainstream chooses not to report on it.

Since it hasn't happened I don't know but basically you're assuming prejudice. You still didn't answer the question.
Or does nobody tell them about it? If there were a serious meeting where that showdown came up in front of the media, I think they would report it.
