actually its not at all unusual if ur arab to have ur tribal/country/city name as ur surname. in fact ul find if u go to study in the middle east most classical scholars are likely to ask of your tribal name.
lol 'Dawud ibn Yahya Al-Amriki' that sounds so cool - u shud become Muslim just so u can go around calling yourself that!
and 'al-zarqawi' does make sense if u translate it fully - its like saying 'the detroiter' for someone from detroit, or 'the mancunian' for someone from manchester.
lol it does have a ring to it - for somebody else. I suppose there is nothing technically wrong with saying "the detroiter" it just sounds weird colloquially

LOL. well non-arabic words are usually transliterated letter for letter, so pronunciation wouldnt really make a diff.
oh...
well that's disappointing - I thought it was like Chinese where they try to match up sounds.
Thus "Coca Cola" is like "Kuaka kwuo ola" and translates to something bizarre like "bite the wax tadpole"
Or something like that...

Do questions marks make you uncomfortable? why? is it bacause you want things to be completed?
(PM you? why? about what? these question marks are serious... unlike those above. I just like to understand how people think. When I get that, all is ok. But I am very very bad at reading people.)

Admin, I'm sure you are smart, although perfectionst, not prefectionist. Question marks are great. I have always found questions so much more honest than answers. I know it helps to have the odd answer but we're living a lie, Admin. Living a lie.
I mean a sentence that begins with a question but moves on to a lengthy aside. Most strictly I suppose it begs a question mark, but I just can't. The sentence went, "Why not...and then if you're patient, I can..." I could use :?: to cop out, because we know it's just a smiley but a professor could hardly complain, right:?:
 I took your previous comment as a reference to unfinished conversations.

We have unfinished conversations? please go on. I rarely keep conceptions of people, and can easily forget semi-important things. And I am hopeless at remembering people. (I am certain I have mentioned that somewhere...)

Maybe not you. Beast wanted to know something in particular about my views, I guess on Israel, and Ging Ging was very challenging on my early history of Israel, and I turned my back on that one but intend to cover it at least ftr. A lot of these were covered on the old forums, and I was feeling quite bullied by Ging Ging although I might have imagined it. Either way it is a matter of my honour that I do get around to stating positions, just I'm in no rush. And I have said roughly this before so I thought you were teasing me to get a move on. When I first came here I was ravenous for those conversations. Also I'm so confrontational I admit it's a damn chutzpah to dodge stuff. So in time.
