if we suspect some people of commiting shirk , when asked they dont offer you a valid explanation quoting quran and hadith , but they say it is wrong not to take part, what is the best action to take ?
do you still take part even though you are unsure its shirk?
you dont take part and people say your wrong and a wahhabi?
Submitted by Medarris on 1 November, 2005 - 21:38 #33
If there is the risk of shirk, I would say abstain, better to be safe than sorry. At a given opportunity inquire as to the truth about the act, and then if it was ok do it next time, if it wasnt then u saved urself from it.

best thing is to see what Quran, sunnah, ijma , qiyas has to sayy about teh matter.
what have the classicalscholars said about the matter.
if quran , sunnah and the classical scholars are silent on the matter....then avoid it.
if you think someone is doing an act that consists of shirk, dont go shouting 'shirk, shirk'... explain that this act goes against teh teachings of Islam because.....
Also give evidence, references....
even better consult an alim, get that perosn to consult an alim...
if all that doesnt work then leave it, you have done what you can do....by you enforcing your view on that person, he out of passion or ignorance will be adamant that what he is doing is correct and you are the misguided one.
we need to use hiqma (wisdom)

the biggest sin is shirk
no doubt it is committed the most within the ummah
Arrogence and ignorence are HUGE sins
according to the koran sex b4 marriage nullifies all good deeds
but i dont think snogging duz
Hyprocrosy is a HUGE sin too
so is suspician, koran says it is 20 times worse the eating ur deads broithers flesh BUT WHY???
imo thats illogical, what if u got reason to suspect?
nowhere in the koran did god give any one authority to spy on sum1

What you put in the hearts of others; is what goes back into your own heart…
Missing your prayer, being bad to your parents, eating pork, rape, dating, murder, homosexuality, taking intoxicating drugs, drinking alcohol and adultery etc etc are all haram acts in Islam.
It’s pointless to get bogged down with the “which sin is worse” concept.
A minor sin repeated many times can become a major sin.
One should also focus on the hidden sins as well. And be aware of sins such as envy which is said to burn away good deeds the way fire burns wood…one should be aware of sins such as arrogance cos it is said that anyone with even an atoms weight of pride in their heart will not enter paradise….
One should avoid ALL sins, and not worry about which sin is worse.
