I arrive back in the UK on the 1st insha'Allah, Turkey has been a nice mental, physical and spiritual 'detox'. I hope I can continue it throughout Ramadan.
one thing i want to do. make a list of "what i should do when ive got nothing to do"
you know..when you're just sitting around not knowing what to do, have a LIST, just look at it and do somethign from that list. instead of wasting that time...
so far they have been easy every year (apart from me wanting them to be over and done with) but this year may or may not be a struggle.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.
Despite making this thread 2 months early, I can't say I've done any preparation. I'm not ready.
But some things going on my checklist:
Read the Qur'an once over
Read translation & find something which helps explain it more/tafseer e.g Nouman Ali Khan vids.
Do lots of zikr
This list should get longer.
Anyway when you guys do something you're proud of, feel free to put it here - after all this is the month in which we're supposed to 'compete' with one another to do the best and maybe we can motivate each other
