"Allah puts no burden on any person beyond what He has given him. After a difficulty, Allah will soon grant relief" (Holy Quran 65:7)
Remembering this ayah always makes me feel better when things get difficult
all i got for now, sorry!
Do you give these talks in front of family or..??
"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest"
so MANY emotions, how you gona cover, love, hate, friendship etc... plus there's different type of love. you might want to look into it, pretty interesting. love for Allah, love for people, love for this world etc...
and when you say at home? you mean?
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
He can try discussing as much as possible. Or concentrate on one.
Something for Anger:
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The person who is strong is not strong because he can knock people down. The person who is strong is the one who controls himself when he is angry."
Love would probably be the most complex to talk about.
"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi
ermmm when i say love i just mean having love or loving someone in general as an emotion.
and thanks i like the anger one...was planning to use that and now most definately will
yeah i agree and the talks infront of family. everyone gathers together cousins aswell and whoeverd day it is to do the talk picks a subject they think should be spoke about
my sister spoke about salah this time
and on my turn i wish to speak on emotions. from good to the bad
ima research into it more though because atleast i learn something while i do it

Oh! I heard a heard a great talk like 2 years ago on emotions by a mufti. If only i could remember all that he said it would help.
I'm trying to jog my memory but i can't remember details so forgive me if i'm no use.
Ok from what i can remember he was talking about how everyone's created differenlty, how in people certain emotions overpower others and that is the way we were created. Some people are naturally aggressive, some are naturally soft hearted etc. Each has it's own advantages and disadvantages in life. The muft went through the emotions and ways in which Islam has ways of controlling these emotions.
Like i said i can't remember the details but i do remember something he said about having pride and jealousy. He mentioned how these were the first sins to ever be committed by non other than Iblis(shaytaan). When he was told to bow down to Adam alayhis salam he refused to do so cause he was full of pride and jealousy. You can also mention the story of Adam' (AS) two sons Habil and Kabil.
One way of avoiding comitting jealousy is to always say Mash Allah when you see someone attaining something in this dunya whatever it may be.
There is no reason anybody should be proud in the way that they think they are better than someone else cause at the end of the day we all came from a drop of sperm, we all need to relieve ourself(go to the toilet) and we're all going to die one day.
Insha Allah this will help you and if you need more information then visit www.askimam.org < that is the website of the mufti who gave the talk.
Alhamdulillah!

If you're gna talk about pride you may wanna mention how the Prophet didn't advise 'over' praising someone in their presence.
