Something that I noticed over at London Muslim - An aid convoy from Turkey will try to breach the blockade that has been imposed by Israel and Egypt on Gaza by providing material that is blocked under the blockade - hazardous and dangerous things like building materials, medicine, generators and medical equipment. Scary, wooo.
London Muslim calls Turkey the "leader of the Muslim world" and I must agree that it is fast earning that title.
20 Ships to Head for Clash in Gaza
(IsraelNN.com) The Turkish IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation announced that a fleet of 20 ships would be sent to break Israel’s embargo on Hamas-run Gaza two months from now. Five of the ships will be under the auspices of IHH; the support of charitable businessmen in Turkey is being sought for funding to purchase them.
IHH was founded in 1992 to provide humanitarian aid to Bosnia, and later extended its reach to “deliver foodstuff, clothes and tents to crisis regions hit by wars, conflicts, and natural disaster to meet urgent needs of victims.”
However, it has now added political intervention to its agenda, vowing that its “aid ships will continue to head for Gaza until Israeli embargo is lifted.”
The cargo ships are to carry “Israeli-embargoed building materials, generators, medication, medical equipment and educational materials.” In addition, passenger ships accompanying the cargo ships are scheduled to carry “journalists, human rights advocates, activists and lawmakers from various countries.”

The levels of irony here are riddiculous..
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane, by those who couldn't hear the music...
Can you point them out to me?

well the main one that sticks out to me arguably the least islamic country seemingly doing the most islamic act at the moment that is.

You need to brush up on some recent history there Funzo.
Turkey is a changing and has been for a while.
It still has some idiosyncrosies but it has been doing a lot under the new leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of Turkey, who in my mind was a very strong candidate for the person of the year 2009.
Muslims wanted a good Muslim leader, and so far he is one.
Lets see how things develop from there - he was almost banned from politics because he passed a law (which was later struck down by "the secular forces") allowing women to cover their hair in public institutions/Office and has had many other such fights in recent history too.
Turkey is coming full circle - a former leader of the Muslim world once again gaining legitimacy to wear that title once again.

Look it wasnt meant to be a slate on turkey even though improvements are being made by people such as mr Erdogan its still out of the "muslim" countries its arguably the least islamic and its doing the most islamic acts, what i mean is that the other so called muslim countries need to take a long hard look at themselves because what they are doing is far from islamic.

Agreed with most of that. (except for the "least islamic" bit - except for when there is the ban of the practicing of some religious acts, in general, not enforcing religious behaviour is IMO a good thing. Allowing to choose to be religious or not may lessen hypocrisy and even crime.)

Well at the moment its the most secular..maybe least islamic was too much of a judgmental term to use.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane, by those who couldn't hear the music...
yes, that is a judgement thing. I do not think secularism is always bad.
It has its place (I am using the western meaning of secular here and not the arab one which is translating it to arabic as sort of "anti-religious" which is not what I mean).
Either way, that is a different discussion and the first post is just a statement of intent - it is mentioning a time two months into the future. Who knows what will happen before then and if anything will really be done.
Actions will speak louder than these words.
