Dua Request thread
Salaam
I saw this on i think the 7cgen forum, not sure
basically a thread where one can request the other forum folk for any specific duas. i.e exams, driving tests, job, some sort of worries etc.
Obviously you can kep the details conifdential if it requires, and jus ask for a general dua
And when we raise our hands for dua at anytime, we can ask Allah SWT to accept the duas of the revival forum people if it is right for them...and everyone can do dua for each other
Dua is a powerful thing
I also request it be stickyed. and people take this thread seriously please

so how do we remember you in our duas? they only way i can actually mention you is by praying for the whole Ummah generally...
Re: Dua Request thread
'Ya Allah, please accept Noor's duas whatever they maybe'

No its not. Asking me to pray for you is using up my valuable prayer time, where i could be using it to pray for other more important things like... stickers, gummy bears and Jelly Beans. So if im gonna pray for someone else I think i have a right to know why, and wat they want.
no chance. duas are private.
If duas are private why are you guys asking other people to pray for you??
Think about it.

good point.
Re: Dua Request thread
Noooooo, I don't think so Seraph.
I think making time to remember others in your dua says a lot about you as a Muslim.
I'm sure you'd like others to remember you in their duas...
For myself, praying for others is quite a fundamental part of my dua. When I was young I remember my Mum saying that when you pray for something for yourself, also ask for the same for others. And that to me makes sense... Why is Allah swt going to just grant you something, the way forward is as a strong Ummah.

Actually ive never really asked anyone to remember me in their prayers. Never really had to i guess.

Yeah but thats not what we're talking about. Ofcourse i mention in my prayers for Allah (swt) to have mercy on the Ummah etc etc which is totally different to when someone asks you directly to pray for them... its like 'why?' are my regular prayers not good enough for you? You need a special mention? If thats the case then can you be more specific so i know what im asking god for. Im not a mind reader... although that would be fun.
(Note to self: Ask Allah (swt) for mind-reading powers).

when you make a dua, an angel says 'ameen and for you'. so you're not losing out, both people benefit. hadith

ok maybe i worded that wrong, i prefer not to tell the whole world whats happening in my life.

We all need other peoples duas... don't we?
Nothing is free, Allah swt will grant the duas of the pious... so I certainly hope pious ppl remember me in their duas!

maybe even Ya ALLAH please accept the one who calls herself noor's duas if they are good for her, ameen.
ill make dua for you now, inshallah, let me mute my laptop.

That's halal gummy bears and Jelly Beans!
And yeah, what Noor said about an angel saying 'Ameen and the same to you'.
Read my article on Brotherhood (future issue, insha'Allah).
Re: Dua Request thread
If you want people to pray for you then say what is it you want them to pray. If you dont want ppl knowing then dont ask ppl to pray, pray for yourself. Its as simple as that!
