A question on the proposed reforms
If the doctors are going to eb drafted in to do the job of managers, who will do the job of the doctors?

I *think* it was Ocean who posted this on Tribune, but since she has not posted it elsewhere, I will.

I mentioned before how I was not too fussed about who won in Oldham East.
But now I think there are two potential candidates to vote for:
1. Kashif Ali as the token Muslim Tory who almost turned it into a three horse race last time around.
2. Elwyn Watkins, the Lib Dem guy who should have won last time around.
and those are in no particular order. Why the sudden change?
In recent days I have heard of two different incidents which tell me that Labour just does not get the idea of the right to privacy and liberty.
First, there was the suggestion that speed cameras should be "reversed" to also "reward good drivers". Ofcourse this would mean tracking each and every journey to decide who the good drivers are etc, instead of only keeping on record those that speed.
and now after the Jo Yeates murder, another Labour MP has suggested that all men in Bristol should submit their DNA for testing in order to find the killer.
Maybe its what being in power for 143 years does, but Labour seriously need to sort out their views on civil liberties and right to privacy.
The By-Election to choose the replacement for Phil Woolas will be on Thursday 13 January 2011.
He is out, which is a good result. as for the people running in it, there is no compelling option.
The Lib Dems have proven themselves to be a bit Weasely.
Labour while it has a new leader, still needs to remember its past.
The Tories have no chance in hell, not that they are even trying.
So voter advice: stay at home. All options are the same, even though it would be good to see the Lib Dems get a kicking.

Did the Prophet ban the christians and the jews from their celebrations?
If not who died and gave you the power to decide such things?
Where do you get your shariah from which allows you to decide this?
I don't think you can honestly claim to be "Representing the Authentic Islamic Viewpoint" when your ways are not from the sunnah and not using the hikmah that the qur'an demands.
Are you aware that when the Prophet came across Jews celebrating the ashurah, the prophet stated that we have more right to it than the jews do, so we should fast on not one, but TWO days?
who is it that holds MPACUK to account?
Let's create an imaginary scenario... there is a massive leak of documents detailing how Saudi Arabia, Oman, Egypt etc are more or less begging the US (or even Israel, they don't care who does it as long as it is done) to attack Iran and stop "their evil" from spreading.
What do MPAC focus on? "Israel Recruits Thousands of Liars" and "Store To Zionists: Keep Your Blood Money".
When pointing this out on tribune, someone asked of MPAC "Why do they keep repeating stuff that we've already heard?"
While everyone is focussing on wikileaks, some acts of terrorism may be going less noticed.
Today an Iranian scientist was murdered by some terrorists who planted a bomb on his car while he was driving it (the terrorists were on motorcycles).
Another scientist was injured in a separate incident and this is the third targetted attack in this year, prompting questionjs as to who is killing these scientists.
... or has the value of currency gone down?
It is an interesting way of looking at things - something that was being dicussed on Russia Today at some point a few days or weeks ago.
Generally, we are told that the value of Gold has doubled or so over a period of time.
Another way of looking at the same information is that you now need twice as much currency to buy the same amount of gold.
So has the value of gold gone up or has the value of currency gone down without us even noticing?
This website (http://www.therevival.co.uk) is built using drupal 6.
It has been based on drupal since early 2008 - within a month of the launch of Drupal 6 and one of the few early sites at that time with moderate complexity that could use Drupal 6 that early (Drupal sites generally use the base CMS as a framework with other modules used to add finctionality - the new version 6 of drupal had been released, but some big and important modules were not compatible for a few months).
Now almost 3 years later, more later than the people involved with Drupal expected, the next major version of Drupal, Drupal 7 is close to being released.
This leaves me with three options:
