Political lobbying

Does it work?

I had a long arguement with Ed a few weeks ago.

He was saying if anyone was angry about uk policy, they should lobby.

I have the opinion that lobbying is next to useless here in the UK. You need big bucks. You make a party political donation (known as bribery abroad). The government runs a consultation excercise, and your view wins. Unless someone made a larger donation.

In short I do not think lobbying works for mere mortals.

To You Your Belief, To Me My Belief.

Salaam

(Another rant…bear with me please).

I believe in a certain sets of ideals. I’m can be stubborn at times…unless someone presents a strong/logical argument opposing my beliefs I won’t change what I believe.

At the same time, it doesn’t bother me one bit if one does/doesn’t think in the same way that I do.

Whenever I present my argument and people choose to accept it- its all good but if they don’t I’m not one to lose any sleep over it…

However, in my town which consists of nosy, busybodies who love to get involved in everyone else’s business….I’ am regularly hassled.

Brelwi's

Abdul volunteered to create this topic so since he didnt i thot i would..

I think a few ppl need clarifying...

Who are brelwi?
where did they origniate from?
What are their beliefs..

Anyone who is a brelwi please come forward and answer these anxiously awaited questions Blum 3
