Hitched

Basic principles, no matter who, no matter where, anyone has a chance to sweep anyone off their feet. They just need the right broom Wink

A couple of years ago my older brother got hitched, and I can say without a shred of pride that it was mostly down to my mad skills. And there were a few lessons learnt which i think would be best shared.

I will mostly be speaking from personal experience and I appreciate not everyone will be able to approach this situation in the same manner. But in the battle between the mountain and the ocean. The Ocean shall always rise victorious.

Leader of Bangladeshi Ulama passes away at 93

إنا لله وإنا اليه راجعون

It is with great sadness that we inform you that one of our elders and Shouyoukh has passed into the mercy of Allah.

Shaikh al-Allama Azeez al-Haq (RA) was born in the year 1919 and passed away at 1PM on the 8th of August 2012 at the grand age of 93 after a lifetime of studying, teaching and serving the deen.  He was arguably the most famous of the modern-day Ulama especially for his services to Islam in Bangladesh including the translation of Sahih al-Bukhari into Bengali which remains the only translation of the text. He was also the founder of Jamiah Rahmaniyah Dhaka through which thousands of students graduated.

Camps, hair styles and flip flops

Most people know a guy who is 'camp' but not gay.

Now, I have two close mates who fall underneath this category.

They are also the type of people who will leave a lecture or party or dinner to go pray and then come back to whatever they are doing i.e. more committed than the rest of us when it comes to their religious duties.

But when I say 'camp', I mean the extra extra care in clothes style, the hand movements, the hair styles....one of them actually looks at fashion magazines.
