Who in History would you like to meet?

I was going to create this topic about the companions of the prophet sallAllahu'alaihiwassalaam.

who from the companions would you really like to meet in Jannah inshaaAllah?

I really want to meet Ibn 'Umar and Anas ibn Malik. mainly because they were "youth" during the time of the prophet sallAllahu'alaihiwassalam and I read all these hadith reported by them as well. I would just love to get to know them and meet them!

this topic can also be used to talk about anybody else in History you'd like to meet. but thing is, with the sahabas radhiyAllahu'anhum, if we work hard enough, inshaaaAllah we WILL be able to meet them.

(i wrote all this yesterday but forgot to create the topic)

Anger Management

"The strong are not wrestlers or bodybuilder. The strong are those who can hold back their anger."

Over the course of the last year ive noticed im becoming an angry person. There have been times where i've been absolutely furious with someone. This often leads me to raise my voice and becoming argumentative. Even confrontational where i wont stop till ive had my say or decimated someone.

I dont like doing this. I dont like raising my voice. I dont like saying anything unkind. I dont like going all Bruce Banner on anyone (SEPHY SMASH!!).

The weird and wonderful ways we eat food

There are many foods in this world and most of us have done some strange combination, some weird mix and match for various reasons; sometimes it's because that's all there was at home left, sometimes its because you were cooking with the lights off, other times it cld have been because it looked nice together!

whatever your reasons, wld you like to share those weird and wonderful foods you've created?

i'll start with a couple.

pasta, fish fingers and ketchup. mash up the fishfingers, sauce up ketchup and there you go! totally unhealthy, totally delish! in recent times we've taken to putting half ketchup, half mayo. i went to a friend's house and she'd done something similar, except there wasnt fish fingers, there was sweet potato and eggs and carrots i think.

Why bury the deceased abroad?

Why do people wish to be buried in the country they were born in, or the country they originated from? Soil will be soil wherever you go, and even in so called 'non-Muslim' countries, you still have 'Muslim graveyards' and they still allow you to fulfill the Islamic rituals of death and burial, so does it REALLY matter? Life on Earth is just temporary and we’re ALL going to be raised on the day of reckoning regardless of whether we’re buried 1 mile or 1000 miles away from our family members. Aren’t we supposed to hasten from the time of death to the time of burial, and don’t the deceased suffer a lot of pain during transportation across the sky? I’m puzzled.

Share your husband

Anyway, how'd you feel about sharing your husband? And for the guys, how'd you feel if your wife didn't care that you have a second wife?

Can't sleep. Think I'm officially an insomniac. But anyway, so in between reading the Catcher in the Rye  and contemplating whether I had ADHD or not, I came across the book review of:

Love, Inshallah: The Secret Love Lives Of American Muslim Women By Ayesha Mattu And Nura Maznavi

The title sounds boring. But I read the review anyway and found a quoted section of the book:
