Does any1 know of a way to get rid of memories? Is there some wacky old-wives tale out there abt getting rid of memories? Any ideas welcome - no matter how wacky they sound or appear .
In our Islaam one of the beauties is the highdemand for modesty and bashfulness but may ALLAH forgive us because we lack in this majorly. Part of the hayaa we should have is a sub-branch called ghayrah.
Envy is among one of the major diseases of the heart and it is also a great fitnah for the believers - such that ALLAH Most High revealed a Surah as a means of protection against the envier - Surah Falaq.
According to Imam Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah hasad (envy) has been defined in numerous ways including:
1. Envy is a grievance that befalls one due to knowledge of the good condition of the wealthy.
2. It is a desire to have the blessings removed from the one who is envied even if the one who is jealous does not attain the likes of these blessings. But this is different from ghubta (also meaning envy) because it refers to a desire to possess the blessings bestowed upon the one who envied without the desire to see them removed from him.
We all know that swearing at or abusing or debasing or mocking Sayyidina Rasulullahi salallahu alayhi wa sallam is an insult and cause of loss and sorrow in this life and the hereafter but is that where it ends?
Personally I dont believe so. I was always taught that love for Sayyidina Rasulullahi salallahu alayhi wa sallam is not proved by making utterances by the tongue but rather by actions - a case of actions speak louder than words.
I was taught that observing the sunnah, loving the Sahaabah Karaam, hating those who hate them, loving and guarding the masaajid of ALLAH and honouring the Righteous Ulama are all ways of inculcating love for the Holy Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam and are infact signs of holding love for Him salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Its summer time and I dont know what the brothers and ladies here will be doing in the summer but perhaps considering learning some Quran would not be a bad idea.

Well as you folks may or may not remember I'm getting married in december inshaALLAHu Ta'ala.

Dunno if ne1s interested but my family are all going in first week of december, then me and my father are going on about 18th.
Certain event happened today which got me thinking.
How common are family feuds?
What are they normally over and do they get violent?
There are some famililes that I have seen that at nearly every single gathering they have - birthday party, wedding, death, whatever - soooner or later somthing kicks off and theres either an argument or a fight.
I have to admit it does get a quite exciting - nothing like having an adrenaline rush at a normally boring function - but what does this behaviour achieve save the insult of ones hosts or the demeaning of ones honour?
