Who stays awake after Fajr?
Just wondering if anyone actually stays awake after fajr. In my area, fajr is prayed at 4.00am and i normally crawl back into bed and wake up at 8ish. But I read an article about increasing productivty if you stay awake after Fajr and it really inspired me to do so, but at 5am i couldn't stay awake!!
So who here stays awake after Fajr and how do you stay awake?????
Btw- this is the article that i read, and it is amazing!!The whole website has some pretty amazing tips and really really cute animations!

Has anyone on here touched the black stone?
A couple of weeks ago, I was blessed to visit Makkah & Madina to perform Umrah and see the amazing sights...
It was really beautiful, but I noticed that whilst we were doing Tawaf, all the men had literally attached themselves to the black stone, and other men were pushing and fighting from behind to touch the Black Stone. I really wanted to touch it too,(like, who wouldn't?) but couldn't get near to that corner, in fear of gettting squashed by big, tall and strong men, who get really emotional aand push anyone who gets in their way. My dad and I had always seperated during Tawaf, and I couldn't even use him as a shield to get ahead.
The Appearance of Imam Mahdi
I normally stay away from topics such as this, but recently someone told me to watch a clip in which Sheikh Nazim talks about how Imam Mahdi is here on earth and how he has met him... to my understanding.
Sheikh Nazim is a really respected scholar and slowly, but surely the Qiya'ma is coming- that's a fact everyone's got to accept.. But just in case I've misunderstood the clip, and got it completely wrong, can anyone just sum up what Sheikh's saying and make it easier to understand?
Does this also mean that the Qiya'mah is now really really close?
Superstitions
I hate it when people are superstitious.
Like when i had my umbrella open inside:
Its bad luck.
Yes obviously it is. I might poke you in the eye with your annoying comments.
Vanilla essence
Salam,
Quick question:
When using vanilla essence when cooking what can you do (as it contains alcohol)?
Waterloo road
Okay, so i was watching waterloo road on wednesday (free night... nothing to watch :() and they seem to have developed some "muslim" characters since i've last watched it.....
Anywayz... the "muslim" characters seem to be protrayed a little bit differently in my opinion... The boy Tariq, resembles a thug and the girl Trudi (who does admitally don a Hijab) seems to be a character who is a little bit "different"...
It just doesn't seem like a fair protrayal of muslim youth nowadays...
I just wanted to get that off my chest....
Starkey on Newsnight.
This seemed pretty intresting, and it is a really brash comment to make. I thought i'll share it.

Suhoor/Sehri/Pre Dawn Meal/Iftar
Assalamualykum,
So with Ramadan creeping closer day by day, i was just curious, wondering about what people eat at sehri.
I read something once about the Prophet's pre dawn meal, saying it's sunnah to eat at least a date and drink some water , but i'm not sure where its from. Please correct me if i'm wrong though.
Anyhoo, what do you guys normally eat for Suhoor?
I normally have a bowl of cereal, Coco Pops or Cheerios,:D but iknow people who eat Chappatis (Roti) with curry. (Personally i could probably not be able to stomach that, that early)
*EDIT*: We may as well talk about iftari too now... I normally break my fast with dates and water, a lil' bit of fruit and then... Stuff down all the fried stuff....and maybe eat roti too
