As most of you know I've been undergoing a lot of stress and problems with my ex boyfriend and family situation. My boyfriend is out of the picture, I'm in pain but will get over it but my parents are driving me crazy! They want me to get married now as I'm getting near the "sell by date" (I'm 24 :roll: ). I can never marry any of the desi's that they wish to set me up with. I want to do it properly this time, but MY way. I've been reading the messages on this forum for years. But I never posted as a member (I used to post as a guest). I find you all funny, clever, religious people.

As most of you know I'm trying to convince my parents to get me married to my Pakistani boyfriend. Part of the reason they disagree is because of my boyfriends dodgy past. He used to be a drug addict, be a bit of a bad boy and used have sex with different women. But that was in the PAST. He is now a changed man and even prays. My aunty told my parents about my boyfriends past which has made them even more against him.

I don't care about the past because the past was in the past.

HOW TO GET OUT OF AN ARRANGED MARRAIGE PLEASE HELP!!

I'm a bengali girl looking to get married to my Pakistani boyfriend. My desi parents are trying to set me up with desi guys. :roll:

I have to sit through meetings with greasy desi's. I don't believe in arranged marraiges so how can I explain to my desi parents that I only want to marry for love?

Any advice will be appreciated.

this is a very fun site you have here. I spent most of my lonely nights viewing all the threads. (I'm living away from home on campus Cray 2 ). I have a problem, I posted once before about my brother being addicted to coke who now takes stronger substances. It makes me mad that his freedom hasnt been taken away from him but I am watched like a hawk.

I have fallen in love with a guy at Uni and badly want to get married to him, the problem is that he's Pakistani and I'm bengali so my parents are strictly against this marraige.
