“Patta” AKA Credit Card Fraud is very common in my town. When my debit card was declined a week ago in a petrol pump I was convinced someone was messing about with my card…esp since I have my pin number written everywhere…
My sister’s wallet was stolen/lost today…poor thing was so upset; she quickly cancelled all her cards cos like me she also had her pin and internet banking information with her cards.
From what I’ve been told…people get hold of account numbers/sort codes etc and use them in petrol pumps and purchase stuff from the internet.
I heard of a girl from my town who works in a bank and GIVES OUT people’s address’s and account number to her dodgy mates.
And when these stolen credit cards/debit cards decline in shops…the fraudsters simply leg it out of the shop.
This is why, many youngsters from my town come from poor families…they’re uneducated/unemployed yet all have a couple of flashiest motors….
The introduction of chip n pin has somewhat reduced this fraud…
I don’t want to stereotype BUT…since I live in an area that is full of predominantly Asian people, I’m always hearing about people’s fraud related court cases..
What exactly is fraud to you?
Credit card fraud?
Buying/selling dodgy motors?
Claiming disability living allowance despite being a fit and healthy person?
Claiming unemployment benefit whilst working on the side?
Doing private tuition at home/running a private business yet not declaring it to the tax people?
Couples not claiming that they’re husband and wife?
Having car accidents and pretending to be more injured then you really are?
Having your house robbed and claiming back more then what was stolen?
Illegally working in this country?
Money/possession obtained from unlawful sources have a detrimental effect on a person’s character…
Also, such money has no Baraka (blessings) whatsoever…it goes as quickly as it came.
How far would you guys agree with the claim that this country “owes” us? Therefore its OK to screw the government?

under UK law fraud is defined as a deception deliberately practiced to secure unfair or unlawful gain. What the basicly means is if you're lying and cheating to gain access to money that you didnt earn or owed.
Firstly im sure the banks always tell you to never keep you PIN with you card... and if you do keep them togeather and your cards get stolen... you get what you deserve. Stupidity is no excuse imo. If you cant remember those random pins then have it changed to one that you can remember .. its not difficult.
Theres sooo many different types of Fraud, credit card fraud, tax fraud, benefit fraud, etc etc. Its all illegal... its all getting something for nothing... something you havent earned and something that has no blessings in. Its the same as theft regardless of how you spin it. You aint Robin Hood... you aint robbing the rich to give to the poor... you're robbing your country to feed your pocket. You people make me sick.... you know who you are... its coz of you Man Utd not doing so well... you know what you've done!!

Everyone does fraud whoever claims that they don't are lying. Its impossible to live in this country honestly.
Ramz Ramz, haven't you leart your lesson? Just becoz you may do all the things u have mentioned ie. straighten your hair, are single and depressed and are a fraudster dont mean everyone does.
Hey i don't do fruad i earn an honest living but then again i am lying
Most people in this forum lie about all that they do and believe in. It doesnt add up. It's impossible for everyone here to happy and single as well as a honest citizen all the time.
I bet I'm the only honest person here which I get looked down upon.
Noone gets looked down upon because they are honest.
However it is annoying when people try to fit others into their understanding of the world.
It is very hard to be honest, hardworking etc, but possible.
Not everyone has to do fraud, even if it seems a national pastime especially for young asians.
Thing about haraam money is that it is haraam. If you purchase anything with it, that is now also haraam. All your food is haraam. Your clothes are haraam. everything.
So its best avoided, and it is possible. It just takes will pwer and courage. If you are worried about what others think, you will fail.

What if your given presents or money from a haraam source? It cant be your fault because you didnt go out and do haraam things.
Depends if you are aware of the source of the money.
Ignorance can be bliss, but it must not be enforced ignorance. ('do not tell me where it cam,e from, as then I will not beable to accept it' is just the same as knowing.)

Nope... you looked down upon cuz you come out with pure dribble. And thats the universal truth.
Firstly since you dont actually know anyone on this forum how exactly did you come to the conclusion that we're all lieing?? Just what are you basing that statement on??
We're certainly not angels and i have no doubt that we all do something wrong here and there... but we're not criminals and dont commit fraud. The only person for whom it is 'impossible tobe happy and single' is you. Bcoz you're the only person complaining about it, we're single and couldnt care less coz we've never known any other life, and if we have we're certainly alot better for it now.

Asalaamu alaikum,
There are honest people who aren't willing to sell their soul by indulging in such activities. There are people who aren't prepared to compromise themselves by putting the love of money before their principles so it is unfair to generalise and say that everyone is involved in fraud.
Wow. Spot on.
Welcome to the forum Sis.
Also...maybe this is a coincidence, but nearly all the people I know who live off haram income, are some of the worst people I know.
i'm impressed once again

Once a man came to buy silk from Imam Abu Hanifah’s silk shop…Imam Abu Hanifah wasn’t present so his assistant sold the silk to the man for 1000 dirhams.
This silk was worth only 400 dirhams so when Imam Abu Hanifah found out what his assistant did he immediately went in search for the man who had brought silk from his shop…
He found the man and recognised him immediately as he was wearing a small part of this silk and wouldn’t leave until the man had taken the excess 600 dirhams back which he was over charged for…
Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal never ate the fish in the sea because his slave had thrown a piece of bread in the sea which Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal suspected was made out of unlawful income..
