Yes. Muslims often cannot understand why all of a sudden, in the late 20th century, Islam came to be feared as something threatning to the West.
Perhaps that is now understandable after September 11 when actions of some fanatic muslims give fuel to such fears.
Muslims themselves have never hated or feared Christians and Jews.
Muslims are quite happy with Jews and Christians. They have no problems except, ofcourse, the foreign policy, which is seen as against Muslim countries.
From what i read, Islam is closer to Judaism, but christians will be less hostile to Islam.
We and jews can eat alot of the same food. Not the same as christians, as there ios not concept of kosher/halaal (or is there?).
kosher is slightly dif from halaal, and we do need to make sure the kosher stuff is halaal. such as alcohol. It may be kosher, but it can never be halaal to consume.
I was under the impression before that pigs could not be kosher, but someone has informed me I am wrong.
We all pray in different ways, so that cannot be shared.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.
Yea doctrinally we are the ones that really seem out of place. Islam seems closer to Old Testament Judaism rather than the community of Christians described in Acts.
Thats is what I thought, until someone stated I was wrong. He was not jewish either, so can jews eat pork?
100? where art thou?

I'm sure there's joke about a priest and a rabbi where the rabbi asks the priest, 'have you ever sinned?' and the priest says yes or something and the rabbi says, 'I bet it doesn't taste as good as pork'. Or something like that.
Hmm. Maybe it's only rabbis who don't eat pork.
Maybe there are differences among the denominations.
yeah im not clued up on judaism, but i knw a lil about christianity and i dont mind it all
in fact i wish the UK would go back to bieng relgious
i hate having to come off a bus, where the stand has an Ad of two semi-naked woman showing all.....or the billboards showing a lady's backside

The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.
them people who are sufi wannabe's-i.e big on love, forgiveness tolerance, good manners etc will see Islam as having the most similarities with christianity
cos thats what Jesus preachd
them who see Islam as a ritual religion-they'll see that Islam shares the most similarites with judaism

cos thats what Jesus preached
And what Islam also preaches... And I am sure manners are important to jews aswell.

Islam preaches love, forgivess, tolerance good manners BUT only SOME muslims are more inclined to these teachings-many muslims dismiss it as being unimportant
Islam also preaches the rituals-however SOME muslims are more stricter with this then others
thats why some see islam as being more similar with christinaity whilst others see it as being more similar with judaism
The great Rabia Basri was known for her intense love for Allah (swt).
In an extreme state of spiritual ecstasy she once said:
“If I worship You from fear of hell, burn me in hell; and if I worship You from hope of paradise, exclude me from Paradise. But if I worship You for Your sake, do not withhold from me Your eternal Beauty”.
what about judaisum?
(forget about stoning to death coz we do that to)
What you put in the hearts of others; is what goes back into your own heart…
I'm not that clued up on Juduism.
I only know the basics about Christianity cos I have attended/worked in Catholic faith schools.
was u allowed to where headscarf?
What you put in the hearts of others; is what goes back into your own heart…
Yes.
That's somewhat surprising actually. I see more connections between Judaism and Islam than Christianity and Islam.

Constantine. The lady is right.
Muslims shares spirituality with our Christians brothers and sisters, and they shares rituals and customs with Jewish cousins.
Islam is closer to spiritual Christianity, and it is closer to Judasim in its observance of the Holy Commandments.
Omrow
I can see why Muslims are often so disappointed when they attempt to reach out under this assumption.

There's loads...
At the moment I'm reading "Essential Sufism" (its a collection of hadith's/sayings collected by a non-Muslim).
"The Secrets Of Secrets" by Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jillani is a must have....but its very, very deep.
i will look out for the latter
may be deep, but i'll give it a go
Jazakullah very much
