I was told going to the cinema was haraam because of what goes on in the cinema and what it has become.

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane, by those who couldn't hear the music...

There are differences in culture and film.

Back in Pakistan supposedly a different type of movies are played in cinemas...

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

Some could say that in pakistan it is even worse going to the cinema because there movies in almost all ocasions contain some sort of film associated with love.

I wouldnt say its haraam.

It depends on the film really.

i understand.

i really like the studio ghibli movies.

spirited away, howls moving castle, princess mononoke, porco rosso.

they are much more moving and emotional than many live action films

they melt my heart, and a soft heart is a good thing to have.

therefore, studio ghibli is good.

Don't just do something! Stand there.

if the movie as a message or a lesson then they are very good

like khuda ke liye

What if the message is bad
