Naz a marriage site run by Oldhamers is no different to one run by anyone else. It is a bit backward thinking and it seems like, to me, you're bearly out of nappies also!

i really dont see why anyone would object to the revival marriage bureau. if i was to ever find someone online (which is never), i wouldn't hesitate in using the revival service.
ed and his gang are well respected, trusted people. everyone knws about the revival, its been around for yonks.
they aint gona start something dodgy up, they've got shaykh salim ghisa on board so i dnt see why any parent would object to using the revival marriage database thingy (if it goes ahead that is).
a lot of people have been contacting ed regarding marriage etc hence him wanting to start it up. the idea didn't come from no where and the marriage thing isn't necessarily aimed at the fourmites.

Oldhams a huge town with different areas, some better than others. I really dont see what a marriage bureau's location should matter. But just bcoz its based in Oldham doesnt mean everyone on the database is likely to be from Oldham too. Just like the revival came from oldham doesnt mean its the only place where its distributed.
And no ones forcing all you lil kiddies to join, if you wanna carry on with your studies then fine. Its only for the members who are much older or having somesort of problems getting hitched.

You ppl are readin way too much into it. The Revival does a very good job at educating the youth about Islam, there is no doubt about that (even i have learnt a thing or two). If you really wanna go ahead with the marriage database and you got pp lined up for it then go for it. Dont let the likes of me stop you. I wish you all the best. Hope it works out for you.

Just wanted to clarify it wasn't aimed at any person.
Some people think Oldham is dodgy but I think we can trust Mr Ed with our details. Also Ed. some people are shy and wouldn't say that they would put their names down, but when you've set-up the on-line marriage bureau I think you'll have people pouring in.
Pakistani's also tend to marry cousins (or so I've been told) so do you think marriage is really a problem within the Pakistani community?
not any more they don't, many are now marrying out of the family and to different races allahmdulilah.

It's extremely narrow minded and childish, some would say extreme stereotyping. If you cannot comprehend what you say then maybe you should try to keep that overactive mouth of yours zipped. If there is malice in your statements then that is for you to battle with your conscious.

Has it ever occurred to you ppl with the tiny lil brains that if i have "issues" with Oldhamers why am i typing on an Oldham run forum? If im “stereotyping” why did i not throw away the magazine when I first got it in uni? If i am “stereotyping” against Oldhamers why do i have Oldhamer friends? So quick to judge! All i said was that ppl might be a bit reluctant to join database that is run by Oldhamers because believe it or not Oldhamers are not viewed with high opinions. Ask anybody within a 10 mile radius of Oldham (that is not an Oldhamer) of what they think about that town and none of them have a nice thing to say.

Personally i dont really see anything great about any town. Atleast nothing to brag about.
Probably bcoz I choose not to judge an entire town by the actions of a few scumbags.
