lol
men can read signs... we just prefer not to read them. 30 actually means drive at 40, except near speed cameras where its okay to slow down, there are the rules and then there are the MyRules.

We prefer not to play by anyones rules... not even our own.

Salaam

The only difference between men and women driving is that men are a LOT more reckless. My dad is in his 40's and still drives like a boy racer.

Since woman don't flip as easily they are generally safer drivers then men. One just needs to check statistics to verify that.

But map reading...yeah confusing stuff. I'm happier asking people how to get somewhere then reading a map.

Speaking of cars - i'm getting rid of the Porsche!

No more racing for Dave, I was informed "suicidal behavior" is no longer to be tolerated.

It can lead to death.

Some women are just so silly, they have little to no sense of direction and they criticise men for knowing where they are going. And on the odd occation when we do get a little lost... they never let you forget it.

Getting lost for a few hours and goin in circles is annoyin esp. when there are many people passing by all you need to do is roll the window down and say "excuse me, can u please tell me where so and so is?" , thats all once u get the directions your sorted, no need to go round the same place again and again and say "i knw where i am goin"

Also having an AA route map is very very helpfu, it gives you the route from your house to the destination!

I agree. I'm always getting lost..it doesnt take much to ask someone the directions. I'm always doing that.

I was considering saving up for a navigation system when dad gets me a car.....it will be needed. Does anyone know if they are straight forward to follow?

lol

naj... my taxes pay for the road... so in a sense ... it is my road.

lol, Med; my mom did that exactly. She even threw in there the 'F' word and told him to get out of 'her car'! lol bless her.

Dave sorry to hear about the Porsche... some people look good in one... while the rest look like an ass driving one.

MS... statistics dont prove diddly as they're not considered valid. Besides theres more men drivers on the road then there are female drivers... i would assume that would somewat tip the balance in womens favour in surveys. PS... i wouldnt rely on Sat Nav systems... they're naff, they dont take into consideration One way Roads etc. Infact they are known to be soo bad they take the P*** out of them on Top Gear.

Angel... its alot more fun driving a little recklessly. We like the danger.

I dont think getin lost and goin in circles is "dangerous" (unless u get dizzy and crash) i find it borin!

I am currently learnin to drive and my speed is always above 30 and my uncle keeps tellin me off  I just wish i could pass and drive how i want but its stupid to drive too fast that you lose control of the car.

I had a lesson this was a yr bak and we were drivin by and this girl had crashed into the bush and other instructors were tryin to get the car out with no luck and the girl was bawling! lol

i have to agree with med most women are pathetic at driving..sorry gals it's the honest truth lool . A few women are an exception to this, but most of them cause minor accidents by being over cautious. Should i turn left should i wait ok i'll wait..make the vehicles behind me wait for 10 mins too til i decide when to get on the ring road. Biggrin (God knows how i'll drive)

But on the opposite end men throw caution to the wind, they can be reckless, show off too much, speed a lot. As a result men cause more major accidents on the road. Hence women get better insurance deals Wink

Guess you need a middle path, hard to find them sorta drivers.

Aherm i'm good at reading maps road maps or footpaths for orienteering. Just give me a map and compass i;ll lead the way.

I've had a few goes in my hubbys car and i know i shouldn't say this but i liked it when he let me put my foot down, boy there's a certain buzz about speeding . Not that's im encouraging you to speed on the rd but i loved it. When legal to put your foot down angel go for it you'll love it!

I used to watch top gear (hate the presenter, thinks he's funny) with my brothers and seeing them speeding up a race track made me soo jealous, looks amazing so free no traffic for miles, wouldn't ya love to do that !

nah. The fun in racing is when you doing it against som other paki, or when every stops and stares.

Alum Rock Road knows me well. hehehhe

lol, Med ...finally we hav something in common!

I race sometimes when im coming back from work... on the M60. Raced a Ranged Rover and a Subaru Impreza the other day... ahahha i won.

nah I love racing but its not rite.

I love the motorway and thanks to som1 special I got a chance to go on there recently. Bombing it down the fast lane is sick; Im a bit of a nutter; some annoying drivers in fast lane wont let u overtake even though right up the back of their car, ended up overtaking from inside lane.

Got a good few flashes and hand gestures but one stare from me and they stopped. lol.

I think the fact its illegal makes it more fun. My cousin done some racing on some track in bham but goes it was rubbish, better when u got ur own kitted up car and racing with others.

Plus its gud da'wah. People know me from madrassah innit, and from namaz and so be more guarded around me. Once you race some of these pakis in the middle of the night on rock road or on a dual carriageway, opens up loads of doors of communication.

alhamdulillah. cant wait till I get my own car.

gosh the dreaded alum rock...i can't stand that place. How can you speed on that rd it's always jam packed. last time i was there i saw traffic wardens handing out tickets to every single car parked on both sides of the rd illegally. Two guesses who the culprits were bengalis and pakistanis, these guys think they're back on their home turf, where there are no rd tracks, traffic flow or parking limits

u can speed on there in night time and in early morning after fajr.

my mums like that...'oh theres a car coming', 'oh no i got to reverse'...then a few swears going to the driver of the next car..lol i hate sitting with her, cant stand nervous drivers they take the mick.

Anyway how do you know if Im a dangerous driver or not?! Kindly Explain

"yashmaki" wrote:

mashaALLAH good advice and most of time have to walk cos we only got one car between the three of us drivers and me being most junior means I get it leastish.

Indeed walking for salaah is immensely superior to going by car.

yes, indeed, We should be grateful for what ALLAH has given us.

Me, I have to say Im grateful for the stars, Im a big gazer at the night sky and I have to say stars are beautiful. They glitter and shine and are high above everything on the earth. They jewel the sky.

I advise sometime for people to look up at the nightsky and gaze at the moon and stars. Truly you will realise how beautiful the stars are, how perfect they are for their purpose and how lucky we are to have a world where everyhuman, rich and poor , can see the jewels of ALLAH.

MASHAALLAH.
