i have a cousin - bless her she's so lovely in every way. But doesnt have a high opinion of herself in fact she thinks that everyone else is better than her
arrogance in others is a MASSIVE turn off
but at the same time
confidence is a very attractive trait

I credit myself with usually being refined and humble and just occasionally on sharp form, but have a perpetual internal battle between absurdly low self-esteem, absurdly high self-esteem and plain old apathy. Some of the traits I admire in others occasionally surface as character flaws so without being arrogant I like not to be especially reverent even of those I admire, not least myself.

if a person constantly puts themselves down
they'l never stand out from the crowd
u gotta believe in urself
You should beleive in yourself, your own abilities etc
However, its best not to show them off or boast, humility is the best way.

We should be humble but only before Allah. It is a sin to be humble before kaafirs.
We should treat them as equal. Why should we treat Kaafirs as in any way better than us?

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.

insecure men have serious issues
they cant get anywhere in life
and they've supposed to be the leaders and handle life outside the home
tis important for men to have confidence
I was to believe that god treats people based on their actions and attributes and the way they lived ect ..
i also believed that muslims go heaven and non-muslims go hell , in which case muslims and non-muslims are not treated eqaully among god
also i think the earth is more blue than green and always has been cuz of the vast oceans that cover more area than the land
in regards to confidence , as muslims we should never lack confidence we are the people who have the correct giudence and follow the correct religion , everyone is special in their own way and everyone has their own individaul talents and skills that should bestow on to them confidence.
people who suffer from low self esteem is normally in response to bullying, depression, assault, bad childhood or just a negative self image of themselves due to various other factors e.g. overweight/underweight
having low self-esteem and low confidence is not healthy , for me martial arts / gym/ namaz always gives me a confidence boost

Interestingly enough, its actually self confidence and not academic success which determines how successful one is in life.
If YOU don't believe your worth something, If YOU don't believe in yourself, why should anyone else?
In other words, it is neccessary to have a certain level of self esteem in ones self...however, high levels of it is arrogance.
And no one likes an arrogant person.
Maybe they see something you don't.
It all depends on whether you let it affect you.
