What would you do if you recently found out, that your sister couldn't have any children and she really wanted one?
(this is for the sisters) would you use your egg and inject your brother in laws sperm in you???
or would you simply tell your sister to foster a child even though she really wanted a child with some of her blood in them??
what would you do?
Im not a sister... but im a fun loving guy... which is no where near the same ball park...
Anyhoo... i had an aunt who couldnt have kids for whatever reason. And her sister (my other aunt) gave her one of her sons to raise as if he were her own. The kid knows ofcourse who his biological mother is but also loves the mother that raised him just the same.
bottomline: i got alot of respect for my aunt who gave up her son like that to her sister, and the kid grew up to be a great guy and they didnt have to resort to any of the freaky shit you just mentioned.
So there you have it... badabing-badaboom-betebeep
God Bless.

My aunty gave her son to my uncle because his wife can't have kids. he's 8 so he doesn't really know who his biological parents are but am sure he will when he's a bit older and is able to understand the situation better. even though he doesnt know about his biological parents he has a really strong bond with them, but this wouldn't be the same for every child as each is an individual.
however some people deal with situations differently accordding to the majority.
what would you do though if the if the husband wanted a baby of his own but didn't want to leave his wife who couldn't have children, or get married again, would you think about the idea of injecting the sperm into the sisters ovum then???

Assalamu Alaikum,
That's a pretty serious predicament to consider "hypothetically". I can't envisage what i would do unless I was actually infertile. Right now i could pretend i would be brave and make do without kids of my own, but who knows how i'd react if the situation were real.
I've thght about this before. Talked it over with my husband in fact. We agreed if any of us were sterile then we would adopt/foster insha'Allah. Living without kids wouldn't be an option for us. There's a certain joy in life that only kids can bring, just as there's a certain sort of happiness that only a partner can give. Some ppl manage to live without these joys i know i couldn't. Why should I when there are plenty of children out there who are orphans, or have simply been abandoned. They would be given the chance to have parents, and i would be given the opportunity to have a child. Aside from the biological factor they would be very much a part of my existing family.
Ideally i would like to adopt a child in addition to any biological kids i have., but that all depends upon how many children i give birth to naturally.
From an Islamic perspective i don't think you can take the sperm donor from your brother in laws, coz the status of the father is extremely important in Islam. Using another man's sperm would have huge implications. You'd have to seek advice from a scholar for the Islamic verdict, and a councellor on these issues before going ahead. It's not as simple as having a flu jab. I've got a friend who went through this process it's very painful, and costly . Furthermore there is no guarantee the woman will conceive a child after the procedure. Women often become so self absorbed in this process that it often leads to relationships breaking down.
BTW it's a commendable thing what your aunt did Seraphimm It's a great sacrifice to make, may Allah reward her abundantly.
