But Icannot seem to come up with a suitable colour scheme...

It seems like the key difference between them and us is that you are using a very boring white base whereas they use colored bases for their pages.
Just for fun - switch the white background color to the dark green they have in the background for the greenbay packers website and lets see what we get - I think it would look good.
Just make sure that the top ten articles area down through the announcements area in the middle stays white or very very very pale green - the idea is the basic color scheme would go from dark to light as you progress inward toward the center - of course later on you're going to have to break that up a bit... can't be regimented.
I think it could look very good and you wouldn't have to change the revival colors - you'd just be introducing one more

Try to do something along the Greenpeace lines. ie structure layout etc. (this should be in the other thread)
Yea I like what they are doing too - I tried to copy that open space in the middle part in my (weak) attempt... also I added a darker green background - check it out in the website thread and tell me what you think.
Okay now I know I am suggesting Heresy - but what do you guys think of a change in the official revival colors to something else?
Or at least reworking them to introduce new ones?
The Pale green on white and gray thing is really kinda old and depressing, and detracts from the Websites goals of being visually interesting...
Maybe we could take cues from the magazines - they usually have really bright colors and ones that match the logo.
I say we need change.

pale blue dark blue and orange with white would be interesting...
You could stick with the revival colors and just copy the color schemes of other sites like the green party or Green Peace or the Green Bay Packers.
