ok, iv turned the varnish cache off for now as it wasnt performing as expected and causing other problems, including preventing people from logging in.

It's excruciatingly slow. I put in the URL waited a bit and then went off and only came back when I remembered I had the tab open. Getting to this page to write this comment has taken way too long. Do you know what's causing the problem? And recently it's been this slow every time I try to get on to the site. The other day tribby didn't even post what I said, though I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the site being slow.
