East and West

A pious man once said, love of this world and love for Aakhirah is like the East and West.

However close you get to one the further away you get from the other.

Not very wise, actually. Go far enough east and you'll reach the west. Go far enough west and you'll reach the east.

we're talking about the directions. not the places. you're the one not very wise.

How can there be a 'place' called #the west' or 'the east' without a direction? If one man goes east and one goes west without stopping their paths will cross. it doesn't matter which 'place' it happens at.
