Wonder how many people avoided this blog cuz of the title. hmm
Death isn't really something I like to think about, it's scary! But as much as I ignore it, I do end up thinking about it sometimes. :S
Today while writing a new years message I was going to say "2011 is going to be a great year for you - cuz I'm going to be in it"
And as soon as I was about to type that, I just stopped; my heart must have skipped a beat, as my head just thought "what if I'm not"
I don't think I've ever felt like that before. Like such a serious thought for something quite small. It's scary. Like as if I'm being given signs cuz I'm gna die soon o.O lol ok I don't really believe that but it was weird!
So yeah in the end I went with "2011 is going t be a great year for you... because I said so! :D"

I love this ^ quote SO much!
I wonder at the man who sees people dying around him and yet he has forgotten his end.

I wonder at the man who takes great pains to decorate and to make comfortable this mortal habitat and totally forgets his permanent abode."

I think no matter what, All people when they die will be regretful of not doing enough...
The thing I fear most about death is the TOTAL uncertainty about where you're headed and the fact that you can't make a difference then.

I visited a graveyard the other day after 4 years. I made dua and then walked around to see others graves. I felt a little awkward reading the headstones cuz of the whole dead-being-able-to-see-us thing, so I tried to look from a little distance
There was a new grave of tiny baby, there were graves of 90yr old, 50yr old, 22yr old. One was from 1949, didn't go further than that one as I didn't want to go too out, but the ones on the other sides were much older. There were people there who had been buried for *at least* 50years!
Reality hits you hard. You're just going to have that tiny space. No mansion or bungalow or anything. Just dirt. And Insects as neighbours. I was just looking at the graves that didn't have a stone bit for the body area, the ones that just had a name at the top. I can't really put into words how seeing that made me feel. It was scary, showed how we're gna become nothing again. Just disappear from the face of the earth. And everything's still gna be normal. Grass will grow on top of us.
And deep down underneath the grass, I will probably be being tortured...
I have a whole project on suicide for my easter hols. Lovely.

Sounds like fun. Lol.
Going to a graveyard really makes you reflect though, it makes death much more of a reality and helps you to stay focused on the next life.
I wonder how many muslims commit suicide, i mean what would push a muslim to suicide knowing full well the consequences of their actions. To be honest i could understand a kafir committing suicide, not pleased with this life and nothing to look forward to after it.
Hmmm... Death, the only certainty in life.
