From where I'm from, Karachi-known as the "modern" city it is very common.

I'm not sure about the rest of Pakistan.

But personally, I don't see it as a big deal...many girls dye their hair or change their eye colour.

The change suits some.

well right the eye color and hair color things okayish since it seems girls change hair color to match their socks.

Thats why some chinese people under go surgery to change their eye shape.

Personally, I don't percieve any ethnicity as being more "prettier" than another.

Bollywood is a step up in immorality from hollywood. At least hollywood movies have child ratings, bollywood movies will say ok for 12 years old, but it's full of pornographic elements. The only difference is asian parents tend to think they're more acceptable than hollywood movies because they're "indian" folks just like us. If white ppl are in the movies to their mind it's automatically more immoral :roll:

Asian families will still sit together and watch a movie, explicit in immoral topics, and scenes how they can do that i honestly don't know.

When i was 10 maybe old indian black and white movies used to come on the telly, and they were pure family entertainment, even english folks watched them coz they had subtitles. But even then i would cringe at the slightest elements of romance, i'd walk out the room embarrassed. Nowadays i've heard indian movies are an utter disgrace, no more innocent romantic scenes, it's all in your face, duno how families can keep straight faces and watch such filth.

The pressure to look western is definately coming from Bollywood/lollywood and so called asian beauty magazines, it would be unfair to blame hollywood. The blue contact lenses, and peroxide hair can be seen donned on many bollywood actresses, and plastered on posters all over asian areas. Each to their own but that's not what i call beauty, these girls need a reality check fast.

You can wear whatever you want at a home but you should cover yourself when you go outside.Were living in this world we should spend money but not get too attached to it.You should keep it in your hands not your heart :?:

i just dont get it....nearly every if not all bollywood actress is wearing coloured lenses....blonde hair? check out some paki serials...looks so damn pathetic and fake...

but i have realised theres alot of the bollywood style in western people aswell...from various clothing styles to the khusa...but atleast it doesnt look rather out of place.

I love wearing khusas, they have always been in fashion but they so much prettier now! Ive got a few from pakistan, but i really like the Unze collection at Shalimars!!!!!!

you can get some that have a small heel, but they not really that comfortable....im short too....i used to not wear khusas either for ages but now ive started to wear them i cant find anything more comfortable

you can get khusas that have a soft lining or foot sole and and some grip thing at the bottom....but i suppose it will still make you look short so no point! 😂

yeh exactly Mez - it is possible to get proper comfy ones.

and about being short: khusse were actually the shoes that ended my obsession with heels and height... 😂 and believe it or not, its AFTER my obsession with height was over that i went through a lil' growth spurt! :shock: shocking or what.

Yeh people grow all the time and it never stops but you just do not relise it!!

Don't get me wrong Khusa do look nice and all but I prefer shoes with heels!!

My mum always asks me if I want khusa when ever we go town together!!

oh no, there comes a point where u stop growing. the average age for women to stop growing is 18 and for men its 21 (coz girls start growing earlier, so technically boys and gals have the same amounta time to grow). BUT many ppl actually stop growing waaaay before this average age. one of my bros stopped growing when he was 16 (we think thats coz of his weightlifting tho) but he got to 5'8" anyway.
whereas everyone thought I had stopped growing when i was 15! :shock: (women on my dad's side of the fam are short, i seemed to be taking after them). so i was 5'1" for aaages, i actually had stopped growing, and used to wear heels all the time coz i hated being short. but then khusse came into fashion and it was possible to get proper comfy ones... so i started wearing those 24/7, i no longer cared about my height!! :shock: and believe it or not, 6 months after that i started growing again... i think i'm 5'3" now... 😃 alhumdulillah.

bottomline: we should be greatful for what we have, and Allah blesses us with more. 😉
