but still getting money is only exciting when your a kid - as you get older it just becomes a regular thing lol

nah, as kids we didnt really see the worth of money - we'd b more excited if someone gave us a toy or present... :oops:
now i actually get the chance to spend the money, so its more appreciated.

other way round 4 me - as a kid id go running 2 the sweet shop down the street and all the kids would just be stuffing themselves silly with things that rot your teeth but hey it was Eid so no1 got told off
whereas now cant really do that lol - but yeh i s'pose having the extra cash ta spend on other (more worthwhile) things aint 2 bad either!
I just save up my Eid money!

same here - for no particular reason i find myself putting away any money i get in the bank.
but if Eids on the 10th this time, i'll probably blow it all on Eid presents and some sale shopping (tho all the clothes my size will probably be gone by now :roll:)

can a girl do zikr during haiz ?
is sajida tilaawat meant to be done by her during haiz?
answer 1. It is permissable to zikr of ALLAH TA'ALA..and send durood to our prophet mohammed sallalahu alahi wasallam...or to read duas or istigfaar.
in a hadith it is related that if a women durin haiz recites [b][i]subhaanaka astagfirullah hilazee laa ilaaha ilahuwal hayyul qayoom[/i][/b] 70 times at the time of every salah then she will get the reward of reading one thousand rakaats of salaah and seventy of her sins will be forgiven. Her status is raised in front of ALLAH TA'ALA and for every vein of the body one Hajj and Umrah is written.
answer 2. it is not compulsory for her to do sajjada tilaawat during haiz.
Its important not to break ones connection with Allah (swt) during that time.
A shaykh in my study circle once mentioned that a girl should do wudhu and sit on her prayer mat and do Dhikr/darood/istigfaar etc every night.
As its important to keep up some kind of routine so that your not spiritually effected by the break.

The salah is broken as she is in the state of impurity.
that i quoted from the top of my head...but i remember studying the hadith with a teacher, but cannot remember which kitaabs its narrated in.
if haiz starts during salaah then you should break the salaah immedietly, thus it is pardoned and there is no qadhaa for it.

Nose jobs, tummy tucks, liposuction and breast enlargements are the favoured treatments for many who feel "pressure to have Western features" but who want to pay only a fraction of what they would be charged in Britain.
The women are mostly middle-class professionals who take 10 days out of their time abroad to travel from the small villages where their extended families live to Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi where almost all the country's 70 registered plastic surgeons are based.
About 250 women from Britain undergo liposuction treatment and tummy tucks every year, and Britons comprise about a fifth of the country's rhinoplasty patients.
Ambarina Hasan, the health and beauty editor of Asian Woman and Asian Bride magazines, said the growth could be linked to a career-oriented lifestyle in which Asian women had higher levels of disposable income and were getting married later.
Bollywood actresses, the icons of beauty on the sub-continent, are becoming more like sex symbols in the West, she said. "They are getting fairer with lighter eyes. There has always been a hankering after the Western ideals of beauty. There have been creams for lightening skins and plastic surgery is taking it one step further."
The pressure to look good is even greater if the women are expecting an arranged marriage. "With an arranged marriage, you often size [prospective partners] up in a photograph, so looks are very important," she said.

The fact that this is such a wrong way of thinking is one thing.....
What worries me more is the fact that there are more then enough horror stories about plastic surgery that goes wrong in US and UK…knowing all that, how could any woman trust a doctor from back home?
They're going to Pakistan... to have plastic surgery to look more western...

It doesnt take much to look "western".
All an asian girl needs to do is lighten her skin (using cream or foundation) dye her hair blond and wear blue/green contacts.
Many girls in my town look like that.

lol what is the point? Are they trying to meet western guys or are they trying to appease some desire in Asian men to pick up western girls?
I don't know....maybe they have a stigma against their roots or maybe they just feel "prettier" that way.
But some Asian girls can carry of the look described above...others just end up looking fake and weird.
asian girls who dye their hair blond just look fake. dunno y they bother. :roll: arab girls can pull it off tho, but i stil dont see the point.

I mean you could just as easily stay permanently tanned dye your hair jet black, straighten it and appeal to some other characature of people.
Maybe it's just because they are living in the west?
