MuslimBro — Wed, 9 Jan 2008 - 01:18

This is the only forum for me.

I refuse to visit any other.

Sirus — Wed, 9 Jan 2008 - 01:45

the link in my sig i used to as well, but its probably dead in activity

Noor — Wed, 9 Jan 2008 - 01:51

i mainly post on revival but i do snoop on ummah forum (btw, med is married and expecting a kid!), 7cgen (only cz i no someone on there and its funny seeing their views on some stuff), minhaj but thats dead and i need to keep updated and lastly, yanabi.com! i've registered a few times and post on different names! (cant even remember my log in details!) only cz the whole of sheffield, di and brelwi crew is on there and they'll find out who i am!

Sirus — Wed, 9 Jan 2008 - 01:57

lol yanabi.com forum makes me laff

some gud stuff, but so much time is wasted in e-debates and cussing other sects, i do wonder if it can have negative effects on us. a forum where scholars are being cursed, IMO, is stupid. some of the 'brelwis' on their make me laff

whats 7cgen?

hows med? i miss that dude 😃

Bliss — Wed, 9 Jan 2008 - 01:59

I only post on here.

I usually check out other forums to find out about events, read the odd post that catches my attention or just go on for a general snoop.(That is when I can be bothered.)

Ummah forum,Yanabi,7cgen,Minhaj.SamiYusuf(I'm a fan 😃 )

Noor — Wed, 9 Jan 2008 - 02:02

i hate the forum cz of some of the stuff they have said about qibla huzoor but they're the only hardcore active sunni forum out there. and you're right, the 'brelvis' on there crack you up.

7cgen - ht forum

if u wana check on med visit ummah forums lol.

Bliss — Wed, 9 Jan 2008 - 02:02

Last week I made a concerted effort to reason with the neo-Nazis at panaryan dot com (not linking it) but I gave up. Those people are mentally ill. I have a user name at that HT forum but I don't really want to post there for now - being serious in a hostile environment takes up a lot of energy. I've posted all over the net but The Revival is where I'm most comfortable even if I've been largely staying out of the thornier discussions of late (eg khalifah).

Joey, are there any jewish-type forums like ours (youth-orientated and easy-going-ish?). I mean in a religious sense, not a purely ethnic-Jewish one.

Every1 else, my friend told me to join 'ship-of-fools', which is a Christian forum, for da'wa purposes.

He started a discussion which is very controversial and he has to field all sorts of questions and accusations, the poor dear.

anyone wanting to join up and argue with these (not-exactly-)maniacs is welcome to do so, but beware that it takes AGES to register...

(go to 'Purgatory', where there's a topic about 'Islam and Christianity'. My friend's name is 'Plato's Cat')

it is dry comments greatfull lol

Joie de Vivre — Wed, 9 Jan 2008 - 16:58

Ya'qub,

For socialising with my Jewish friends I prefer to use Facebook. There isn't a site I use for making new Jewish friends or consulting on religious matters - I would usually phone someone up. There are endless personal blogs covering every subject under the sun including, of course, Jewish blogs, and among the political and newsy blogs are many that are sympathetic to Israel. Some of those are mostly populated by Christians and others as well as Jews, such as LGF, which I prefer to, say, Daily Kos. But I don't like to "subscribe" to a group ideology. I like to shake things up or be challenged- I would get bored somewhere totally like-minded, if there is such a place.

So I'm sure there are Jewish forums but I don't know them. Tell me if you find a good one.

aww missing me?

I'll try...x

Allahuakbar — Thu, 10 Jan 2008 - 11:23

I tried the BBC one a couple of times but found there was too much hatred on it (anti-muslim hatred).

The only reason this one isn't like that is coz the posters here are mainly Muslims.

Either that or we have a good admin.

You decide! 😂

Don't you see that as an opportunity to dispel myths about Islam and try to make people understand it better?

Allahuakbar — Thu, 10 Jan 2008 - 12:30

There were already people trying to do that. Plus I didnt have the knowledge of Islam I have now, back then.
