Kobane/Kobani in Syria next to the Turkish border and has for a couple of months now been under assault by SIS.
There has been immense international pressure on Turkey to intervene and when it didn't, mass accusations that it was aiding ISIS.
It has often been stated that Turkey is often a route used by westerners to get into Syria/Iraq and potentially join ISIS. Further "damning" evidence against Turkey is that potentially around 400 Turks have joined ISIS.
What is often ignored when quoting this number is that there are more suspected britons (500) of having joined ISIS that Turks (400) even though Turkey is a Muslim country and is right next to the theatre of operations.
Some women are good and some are bad. Similarly some men are bad and some are good.
We all want a good partner when we get married. But who are the best men and women to marry?
I say Shia Muslim wife is best of all women to get married to. Shia Muslim women are pious, loyal, and very Islamic. They love their husband and they bring up children in the best way. Husbands love their Shia Muslim wives. Husband can rely on her, can trust her and he does not doubt her in any way. She is his precious gift from God. Shia women are most loved women on Earth. The heart of husband and wife is happy because they love God and His Prophet and the Holy Family. God loves them. They love each other. Shia Muslims females are best females to marry. Shia Men are best husbands to marry.
I read something like this somewhere a few months ago.
Reputation is how other people see you. It is not necessarily true.
Character is who you really are.
The meaning I took was that you shouldn't fall for your reputation and if your character falls short of your reputation, chancs are one day you will be caught short. So we all need to improve our character to match or exceed our reputation.
A conversation I had. With myself. It’s just showing my thoughts on the subject of normalisation of sins and how I feel conflicted. Perhaps I could’ve explained my thoughts better on but I think you’ll get the gist. I’d, of course, be interested to hear your thoughts too
“What are your thoughts on underage drinking? Boyfriends? Homosexuality?”
They’re wrong.
“Ok, your non-Muslim classmate Scott is talking about going drinking with his boyfriend Alex after the lecture, what do you think about that”
Well, nothing much. Each to their own and all that.
“What if the classmate was Suliman instead of Scott?”
Salam
We are holding the next single muslims marriage event on Sunday 19th October 2014 at Tipu Sultan, 43 Alcester Road, Birmingham, B13 8AA.
Over 25's
The event is acting as an intermediary for people who are seeking marriage partners. The setting is very much open to all individuals to speak with each other. However, we will have advisors that will support individuals who feel shy or need an intermediary between their discussions. Inshallah we will also be supporting women who feel they need to be in a segregated environment.
The age group that has currently shown a high interest in coming to the event has been between 25-45.
Please bear in mind these events are going to be conducted in a professional manner.
I like the idea of an independent Scotland. I also think it would do quite well.
However I am from England and here IMO the impact would be quite negative for many people without the balancing hand that is provided by Scotland.
Something that the Scottish may like about voting yes is that they will never have a tory government. But that also means that cards will become stacked in favour of more tory governments in England (which may be a reason for conspiracy theories...)
But I still want Scotland to vote Yes for independence.
For a century now the fates of the middle east have been entangled with western intervention which lead to the collapse of the ottoman empire. Intervention has lasted longer still if you consider North Africa/Egypt and its control and relation with the Ottomans
It has been a century where the arab has not been allowed to decide his own fate but used as a pawn for western interests.
Now the threat of ISIS is being used by western powers including our own to seek a new intervention in Iraq and Syria.
They are looking to ally themselves with butchers who have killed more people than ISIS have.
In my ongoing saga to increase the performance of this site, I have tried a few new things now and hopefully things are now fast.
Let me know if we are fast yet.
Let me know if something/anything is acting weirdly
Someone informed me recently about an online campaign raising awareness of the plight of persecuted Christians in Iraq.
The symbol of solidarity for that was the Arabic letter n, or "ن".
On Sunday I was listening to the news and there was someone from the church on saying that the UK government has been far too quiet for far too long on the plight of Christians in Iraq.
I haven't liked what the campaign represented for the first moment. I understand that for western individuals this may seem worthy and they may focus on the non-muslim minorities. I think it is misguided for Muslims to join any such campaign
What this campaign and others do is devalue Muslim blood.
