Britishness is Dead, Long Live Britishness

Britain is not the country it used to be. It's once grand empire has shrivelled to a few sparsely populated islands here and there. It is no longer at the forefront of global commerce and its influence in international relations diminished as it played second fiddle to George W Bush's foreign policy for almost a decade. Ideals of Britain being powerful, home to the best race in the world, and the last bastion of civilisation no longer hold sway.

The power of delusion

Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

How do you even know for sure that you are reading this post and not just imagining it while staring at a blank screen? If there is even a screen that is...

Delusions. Everyone has probably heard of some suicide cults in other parts of the world where they convince themselves that the world is going to end like yesterday, and that they have to kill themselves, but there is more of it closer to home too.

Gossip Queens and back stabbing

If an Islamic organisation is going to do something, I would expect it to have a basic level of standards:

  1. To not gossip
  2. To really do things for the sake of Allah and not for personal gain.
  3. To realise that humans are humans and cannot be perfect all the time and to give people an opportunity to repent and mend their ways.
  4. To not stab fellow Muslims in the back.

Granted organisations such as MPAC seem to not follow number 3 very well, but I had expected the following of the rest to be easier. However it seems that some gossip is just too juicy for them to not comment on.

How postal vote fraud let Nick Griffin into Europe

About a week before every local election my councillor, a Pakistani, goes round to several houses in the area to collect people's postal votes. He sits in the front room as the man of the house gathers the purple and white postal vote envelopes of every registered voter in his family. The councillor then tells the man of the house where to sign for himself and the rest of the family. Once the signatures have been done, the councillor takes the envelopes, ballot papers and all, with him.

All postal votes gathered in this way come from Pakistani families. Many of whom would most likely have voted for him anyway. But to save these loyal and trusted voters from the hassle of taking two minutes out of their day to go and vote at a polling station the councillor has persuaded them all to apply for postal votes – votes which can be submitted a week before polling day.

In this way, he manages to secure a landslide victory for himself and his party colleagues well before the polls even open. I would hazard a conservative guess and say that he manages to bag over one thousand votes in this way.

"Muhammad(P.B.U.H) The Final Legacy" is Islam Channel’s first epic drama film series. It is filmed in Arabic with English subtitles with over 203 Syrian, Jordanian and Lebanese famous artists.

The series depicts the main key events that occurred in the life of Muhammad , starting from the day Abdul Muttalib (his grandfather) looked after him as an orphan after the death of his father through to the day the great leader of Mankind passed away.

The production budget exceeded $2.000.000. Nevertheless, neither high production, nor high cast can portray the greatness of our beloved Prophet Muhammad .
