PART 1
* When somebody called the Prophet while he was walking, he would stop and turn fully to face the person
* The Prophet always ate on the floor
* 'We should not consider studying the Seerah as looking at the habits of the Prophet as points of interest...oh and by the way the Prophet liked Pumpkin or squash (?)...when you read that he likes squash, you should like squash and that is how our early community was like with out Prophet (saw)'
* The point being is that is how much they loved the Prophet they wanted to follow him
* One of the things that we know now from psychology studies is that Human Beings are imitative by nature and it begins early on; the baby will begin to imitate micro movements of the mother when she talks to the baby.
* When babies are first born, their actual distance of vision is from the breast to the eyes and the face of the mother.
* We are imitative by nature.
* Everybody imitates someone. Point: this is part of our nature.
* Qur'an: 'You have in the Messenger of Allah the best example to imitate.'
* 'There is no benefit in listening to the physical descriptions of the Prophet and that's really not the point....'
BUT...what we have to ask ourselves is that...
Why is it that Abu Issa al-Tarmidi (ra) [I have probably misheard the name] would have put a book in there with all those descriptions and why is it that the Sahaba would have transmitted them if they weren't relevant?
In other words, the first community recognised the importance of loving the Prophet and learning about him in all these various aspects.
PART 2
* 'Whoever falls in love and conceals that love and then dies from it, he dies of Shaheed. He didn't do anything haraam with the object of his love'
* Story: Imam Ibn Seena (ra) [may have spelt/heard it wrong]. He (ra) was once taking a case of this woman who was dying. A young girl and he took her pulse. And she started talking about her family and where she lived. And when she mentioned where she lived, he recognized the area. He asked if she knew a few families that he knew. He mentioned a specific family and her pulse started going very fast. From realizing this, he asked her if she knew certain people from that family until he got to a young man and her pulse started raising. And realised she was in love and was dying...... [I don't really get what's the point of this story...]
* Some people have died out of their love for the Prophet (saw). Just from yearning to be with him (saw).
* It is an obligation to learn about the state of the Prophet
* One of the sciences of the Shariah is about the Prophet (saw):
benefit: Guides you to the path of the Prophet (saw)- following the Prophet 's way is learning how to be in the world.
It is learning about it in order to imitate this character.
One wisdom of the Prophet being a human is that he is accessible to us, in order that we imitate him. If he was an angel who had come down to the Earth then people would say that we can't relate or be like him because he is an angel. We have no access to him.
But the Prophet was a human being. He had the struggles of a human being. He had the pain of a human being. He had the grief of a human being. He had the love of a human being.
The closer you adhere to his character, inwardly and outwardly the closer you become to human perfection.
The does not in anyway eliminate the women, by the fact that he was a man. He was the most balanced human being.
Another benefit of learning about the Prophet is that it fills one heart with awe with the Messenger of Allah because you begin to realise who he was, the struggles that existed in his life and his responses to the tribulation that he had.
Closest people to the Allah swt: The Prophet (saw), the Siddiqins (Mariam and Yusuf (as) and Abu Bakr) ......Sadaqins (Ummah of Prophet (saw))-could be a very simple person who has very little knowledge but he has Taqwah of Allah (swt) inwardly and outwardly.
PART 3
* Actions are by how they are sealed.
* Somebody might look really bad now but Allaw (swt) might give them tawbah and they become good later.
* But someone might be really good now and then lose it...losing their imaan.
* When you have the awe for the Prophet you will have awe for his teachings.
* How to draw near to Allah (swt): Sabr and Shukr: Patience and Gratitude. When you study the life of the Prophet (swt) ; there was nothing greater than his patience and gratitude. It keeps coming up.
* Battle of Badr. He won the Battle. When he came back from the Battle he found out his daughter died. He had absolute patience with Allah (swt). He buried all of his children except for one. He did not complain to Allah (swt).
* He stood in the night until his feet swelled from oedema and Ayesha (ra) said “Ya rasullah, Allah swt has forgiven all your actions, for what came before and what came after...’
His reply was “Shouldn’t I be a grateful slave?’
REMINDER: Patience and Gratitude can take you a long way.
Are we all striving towards Human perfection?
From 4:30 into the first clip:
Am I the only one to find that strange?
"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.
I didn't quote that bit in because I thought it was pointless..interesting but I think a very few people do that...(I might be wrong though)..it's very much in detail isn't it?
Why would it be strange?
What are the benefits of following the Prophet's way in that much detail?
Yeah i do find it a little strange that this person(RA) ddnt even eat it just because he ddnt knwo how the prophet ate his but in those time people tried to follow the prophet in every way possible, even in the littlest things, for blessings etc so it was probably normal for them
"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi
By strange I meant to me it seemed to be going so far as to turn the sunnah on its head and sort of in a way seeming wrong.
Kind of like when a past community got told to sacrifice an animal... they started questioning what sort of animal? how old? what colour? what gender etc, til it got to a point that there was no animal that would match that description.

the life of the prophet(saw) is like a candle illuminating the dark ages . He is a perfect example for those who wanted to live a successful life . every one can take guidence from the teaching of the prophet(saw) . He(saw) is like a role model for every one
