uploading pictures

how do we do it?
is it possible to upload from a file on desktop?
what about from facebook?
and it ask for width and height, what are the optimum numbers to get medium, normalish size pics?

at this time, there is a separate image "content type" - you go to "create content" on the left and choose "image".

That will auto size the images.

then on other content, you can link to them images and in two of the three ways it can be done, they will auto resize, with the third, you add a dimension and it will resize to that dimension when people view that page.
