It's not necessary and was not mentioned of in most trustworthy Hadiths, and the truth is that people in Niqaabs creep me out, but why do they wear them?
It is scary when in England, there are those that don't wear a jilbaab and those that cover their entire face. I don't prefer the Niqaabis because I find that the Niqaab is a riducule of our religion and those wearing it should be ashamed. No offence but it's my personal opinion. What do you think? Thanks. 
(The way to gain swaab from Allah is to do what Allah thinks is right instead of making a trend of sticking excess pieces of clothing to the female face).

When you go to an Afghan wedding esp. in areas were women wear these garments. You would have noticed the cosmetic purpose they serve to women. Basically, the man looks like an African marrying a white woman in Afghanistan just because of the different sun exposure between the man and woman.
Also coincidentally, young girls mainly in London wear the Niqab a couple of years before I hear of their marriage. Upon investigation, I discovered the girls were mainly wearing skin lightening products under their garments to accelerate the pace and also protect themselves since the garment allows them to go about their businesses rather than staying at home as they wear these creams.

When people wear Niqaabs i find it very difficult to talk to them, also i have not read any where that u have to cover ur face and hands completly .... people who do not wear niqaabs still have modestly... i feel if women with niqabs wanna cover completely all there body, hand and face they should stay at home....
