so we will all soon be having ID cards in the UK...

Do you think ID cards could help tackle crime, terrorism and illegal immigration in the UK.... as Blair claims?

Would ID cards have stopped 7/7 from happening?

Will we become another number?

Will it be like living in a nanny state: BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU?

Will we have to compromise on our freedoms?

ID cards will cost a bomb... why should we have to pay for it?

MPs back ban on glorifying terror[/b]

Tony Blair's controversial plan for a new law to stop people "glorifying" terrorism has been backed by MPs.

The House of Lords voted last month to remove the measure from the Terrorism Bill, but the Commons has now voted by 315 to 277 to reinstate the plan.

Mr Blair said the vote was a "signal of strength" which could outlaw placards glorifying the bombers who attacked London last July.

But Tory William Hague accused Mr Blair of "ineffective authoritariani

MPACUK demanded Police Action Against Members of the Al Mahajaroun Group, after they held placards calling for the death of Non Muslims. Since then MPAC have been jammed by supporters of the group who believe we were wrong to demand action against them and we were "selling out" and others who have told us that finally a "Muslim group is standing up to them, as they were causing wide spread hate against Muslims". SO- Was MPACUK right to take this group on, or were we mistaken?

last week Nick Griffin, leader of the BNP , stated that Islam is a wicked and vicious faith....

did anyone defend these comments?
should we?

should BNP be ignored or tackled?

how should one defend these accusations infront of a BNP symnpathiser?

Griffin argues that Islam allows Muslim men to rape non Muslim women!!!!!
He has made many other ridiculous comments like that?

Do ordinary non racist nonmuslims also believe islam is wicked, backward, vicious?

Well, my theory is EVERYONE is at least a teeny weeny bit racist, whether they admit it or not?

or is that prejudice not racist?

does it achieve anything? what?
how do we build bridges between muslims and non muslims ?
is this all part of dawah?
who's job is it to do this? ours?

ive jusy discovered Med has been banned...

best move Admin has ever made...

one member insulting so many people, sectarian from day one, very quick to accuse most people here of bidah (even though he doesnt understand the topic properly)...

now at last we can talk about proper issues without one person making every topic sectarian...

The Revival is about discussing every day issues facing the Muslims today...now we can start doing that again and not get bogged down about the size of the beard etc...

so people, lets make this forum alive, real and relevant again...

Pilgrims killed in Hajj stampede

Ambulances and emergency crew are at the scene
At least 50 Muslim pilgrims have been killed in a crush in the stone-throwing ritual during the Hajj pilgrimage in Mina, Saudi Arabia, officials say.

A BBC correspondent at the scene said he saw dozens of bodies lined up on the ground, covered in white sheets.

The ritual has been marred by deadly stampedes in the past.

After a deadly stampede in 2004, the authorities built barriers and deployed tens of thousands of stewards in a bid to improve safety during the ceremony.
