Over the past couple of weeks there has been mass media attention to the case of Shamima Begum, who along with a couple of friends left to join ISIS in 2014.

At the time she was a 15 year old and is now 19. In that time she has talked about two of her children being killed and has recently given birth to a third.

The whole topic has brought up a lot of emotion, mostly because it seems Sajid Javid, the home secretary decided to make it into a political power play, just like he did his canceled holiday over Christmas to deal with the UK being swamped with about 10 migrants.

The news is full about the horrendous acts of mass murder that occurred in Brussels on Tuesday.

Following the attacks, some commentators from the right or far right wing were quick to link the tragedy recent Syrian refugees which have recently arrived in Europe in large numbers. Some even suggested that those that supported a humanitarian response to the events in Syria had blood on their hands.

Today it has been confirmed that the bombers were Belgian citizens who had not travelled from Syria - one had attempted to travel but was arrested and then returned to Belgium by Turkey last summer. These individuals were delinquents already known by the Belgian Security Services for petty crime

David Cameron is seeking to extend the UK's bombing campaign of ISIS from Iraq and into Syria.

I will ignore the issues of international law (No Syria invitation, no UN mandate) for the simple reason that international law is a joke and might is often right.

The question is a simple one: should the UK bomb (ISIS in) Syria. The answer is even simpler: No.

A major argument used to support such an idea is a flawed one: By definition any individual attacking people in the UK will not be in Syria.

If that individual was in Syria, at that point in time they wouldnt be a threat to us in the UK.

The use of the attacks in Paris are just a ruse, a useful excuse to push an interventionist policy and one that should be countered.

The story is from a Turkish english news website, Daily Sabah, refering to an investigotary piece in the Financial Times.

It states that ISIS has carried out house to house raids to arrest those foreigners who have not reported for duty and has executed around a hundred.

If you find that you made a mistake by going to Syria and ended up joining the wrong group (or joined the right group but after its defeat to ISIS you were given the choice of joining ISIS or death), you now have the options to either stay and die, try leaving and die or succeed in leaving and end up in prison.

For a century now the fates of the middle east have been entangled with western intervention which lead to the collapse of the ottoman empire. Intervention has lasted longer still if you consider North Africa/Egypt and its control and relation with the Ottomans

It has been a century where the arab has not been allowed to decide his own fate but used as a pawn for western interests.

Now the threat of ISIS is being used by western powers including our own to seek a new intervention in Iraq and Syria.

They are looking to ally themselves with butchers who have killed more people than ISIS have.
