Befriend an extremist - because they're worth it.
Once upon a time there was a man. He was angry, murderous even. He decided to act on his rage and set off to find his target. When he arrived, He accepted Islam. He was Umar ibn al-Khattāb.
If someone so angry, so enraged by Islam can have a change of heart, why can't other non-muslims who are less angry? I think it is time to engage them with dialogue.
"Operation Peace and Love" is to join such groups and then... be nice. Give answers where possible and these are ripe hunting grounds for people who are afraid or angry for the wrong reasons.
In our favour is that these people are not apathetic. They have opinions and should not be afraid to air them. Then they can be countered, informed, influenced, show them the lies that are being peddled, fed to them.
We may not be able to convince them all, or even any of them, but the discourse is public and others will also read along, make up their own minds.
If all that fails, you can still have fun.
The biggest challenge to "Operation Peace and Love" is that I am lazy and whimsical I may just like that forget about it or worse, decide it is too much effort.
For "Operation Peace and Love" to be successful, others will have to take part and talk to such groups and minded individuals, show them the love, engage in dialogue with them, show them how warm and fluffy we all really are. Like teddy bears.
So join such people and show them your human side, engage in intelligent discourse where possible and spread Islam through hikmah.
Or simply forget about "Operation Peace and Love", but if people in the future are breaking down your doors and carrying pitchforks, you can't say you never had a chance to do something about it.
If you're in, To start off, here is a preliminary set of questions you can ask to get discussion flowing and then take it from there.
So far all such posted discourse have the tag of Operation Peace and love, so you can read that, suggest better answers where they exist. Other tags used are Casuals United, mainly because they are the group that I joined, but this should not be limited to one group or other.
