Does any one of you going to this conference or rally?

Do you think that this campaign is a good thing to promote Islam and stop the wave of Islamophobia in the west?

Ellie C,

It bills itself as an anti-Islamophobia campaign. You are asking if it is a good way to promote Islam. It is one thing to talk of presenting the best of Islam, promoting understanding and dispelling hatred. If it is a way to "promote Islam" it is so much bunk and completely ruins its stated purpose. It is not unlike the way the "Anti Nazi League" promotes the Socialist Workers' Party. In other words a disingenuous and reprehensible front. Dispelling hatred is a good thing.
