I know this is about trying to support people who have become Muslims, but what do you do for those who tell you they've already left Islam?
I would leave them alone otherwise you risk losing them forever because they will find you very annoying. Be tolerant.
I spoke to one of my friends on Friday and asked her why she left Islam just over two years ago. I actually understood what she was trying to explain to me and it's left her to believe that there is no God at all and all these ideas that her family believe are all fake.
Then I have another friend, she's born into a family with a mother whose a revert but the family generally is practising in terms of praying salah, wearing Hijab, the rest of it. She didn't feel ready for commitment and left Islam about a month ago. But there's always light at the end of the tunnel (I really believe that) and I need to ask her if she's had a change of heart.
May Allah guide us and keep us all on the straight path. Ameen.

I felt the marriage bit is one of the things that troubled her
