This is why positive changes need to happen for the sake of Community Cohesion

Not good at all, but people like to be creative.

I expect many will be not really buy into that and those that do will have the lazy, the inept and the casual drunk in there too, leaving only a small minority of hardcore nutters.

We have had a relatively good decade in the UK, but there was atleast some violence before it and as long as the economic circumstances are not great, they can potentially come back again.

Well, I for one feel quite sad and a little angry after seeing those - and I'm no Muslim!

These images are created and passed from blog to blog by so called peaceful protesters, as bad as the wahabi who calls for none Muslims to be killed imo..

imo, it just feels so like it's not Islam that i dont feel like it's targeted at me. (<--they are too many "like" in this sentence, but i cant find my words at 23.24 so i'll just leave it as that... =/)

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

That's downright weird then, if you ask me, posting a bunch of EDL propaganda here for some kind of reaction and calling for unity. Respectfully what cause or organisation do you represent?

How is it weird to keep people aware of events in this country afecting them and their community?

As for what cause or organisation I represent.. Well, I do not belong or subscribe to any organisation (unless you count the union I am a paying member of). Cause, hmmm. Well I am a secularist, liberal sort of fella.

My point in posting these was simple. I know the EDL likes to make pictures to upset Muslims. These are usually the kind of images that just mock or insult Muslims - fair enough, they harm nobody. But these are actually inciting violence and are in no way subtle. So I think they should be noted by anyone with an interest in the future security and safety of this country and all of its citizens.

If liberal minded Muslims don't get active in this debate then we are left with the wahabis and EDL facing off with each other in the name of Islam vs western culture. And if we allow that to happen then I fear this country will divide more and more.

And if that happens, I for one will happily move overseas so that my children do not have to worry about a Bosnia erupting in their streets.

It is weird to go to a Muslim site and try to get people angry about some BS EDL campaign on Facebook, it's the kind of weak reason to unify you expect from political wingnuts.

I sort of do, not everyone pays to join a union although I appreciate it's not why you're here. What union?

So I don't understand what you think liberal Muslims here will contribute to the standoff you describe, I don't see you said anything constructive about it at all, and it didn't seem that you were talking to a liberal ear, especially. I may be trying too hard but it makes no sense.

The way I see it, there is nothing we can do about people making these images.

More, they are not all that offensive either (just potentially dangerous if people decide to act upon them) so there is not much to do.

i think they are too obvious. Us teenagers like to go against the rules. Not WITH them. That's just boring.
