Am I bovvered?

British girls are some of the most violent in the world, according to new research. Britain's "ladette" culture - in which women and girls imitate macho behaviour - has been blamed for fuelling such violence.

The study, which surveyed 161,000 pupils, found that, while boys were more violent overall, British schoolboys were further down the league table than their female counterparts.

More schoolgirls are drinking, smoking and being disruptive in class, according to research carried out at Lancaster University.

This is a new thing…I was in college only about 3/4 years ago, in every class there may have been one ‘tomboy’…In high school, most of the girls kept away from the rowdy guys….but today, so many girls know how to shut up guys.

IMO it’s partly a feminist thing….men have been allowed to get away with behaving drunk, leering at women, getting rowdy and aggressive and sleeping with whoever the want without society condemning them as much as it should…so now women want to get away with the same stuff.

Women look ridiculous acting like that…more than men. We still live in a society full of double standards…this means that both men and women laugh at the ‘ladette’s

It’s wrong for girls AND boys to behave like this…but with girls behaving badly, it’s their sexuality, safety and morality that is more in danger.

Has sexual equality gone too far?

the concept of "good girls" don't mess about, dress indecently, commit crimes, argue, get into fights etc. is outdated.

why do you feel it is more important for girls to be more moral then men?

not sure what you mean.

The only reason women in the past were more sensible was because it was frowned upon for a woman to behave "indecently". Now they are considered equal (in England) - girls are just not conforming to the steriotype, besides I see no reason why they should, why do you?

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.
