As a British Muslim my question now is,
Is there a Muslim Ummah in the first place so we can say "We"?
For me, British people are my Ummah.

Why is this topic buried? I like to think there is a Ummah.
Its in a bad state.. but there is only one.
Although we may differ on small interpretations, there is but one Ummah, there is but one direction in which we bow down to the Almighty, there is one Ramadan, there is one place to perform Hajj, there is one God, there is one final messenger..
we are one in our fundamental beliefs.. we just need to smarten up a bit.

I think the only time when we can call ourselves 'WE' and call ourselves an 'ummah' is when we can all do eid on the same day roll
