I agree with having a simple wedding but I don't know how you can have a wedding at a house when you have hundreds of cousins and friends... unless you live in a mansion.

You can't invite some relatives and friends and leave others out, that's just rude.

And do you HAVE to videotape the wedding? Also what's with having bollywood music in the background, I can't remember a single wedding video I've watched which doesn't have it.

Its not so much about hiring out a hall for the wedding which i understandable coz there are alot of ppl but the amount of gold and clothes that are given to the bride which i find unnecessary. Some ppl will even turn to the bank for a loan and end up in debt all coz they care about what other ppl think of them.

the best wedding imo: nikkah at the masjid and for food, dates and fruits.

follow the sunnah and you can never go wrong ๐Ÿ˜‰

It seems as years go by weddings get more lavish, simple is nice, If people can afford a huge weding then why not, only thing is every tom/dick and harry would be invited to it.

I've decided when my kids get married, i'll give them a wedding within mine and hubbys budget and only invite who they want to attend at wedding!

Its like the greatest moment of your life and you have these greedy ppl who are only there for the food!!

Funzo โ€” Wed, 23 Jan 2008 - 23:17

I feel sorry that they attend such a beautiful occasion just to satisfy there hunger and some even arent invited an assume because there cousins friends uncles sister in law's mate was invited some how they are invited aswell, speaking on the not of weddings how come you end up with 3 times as much people you came with.

why? free food and that ๐Ÿ˜‰

and my cousins and i do that, if one family gets a card we all go lol. we're all one in our household and everyone always thinks we're sisters.

Funzo โ€” Wed, 23 Jan 2008 - 23:35

Lol i understand that but what i dont understand is when some1 who isnt remotely related to you gets an invitation you feel obliged to go.

Angel โ€” Wed, 23 Jan 2008 - 23:35

I hate attending weddings that are not of close family, they are boring, couldnt care less bout the food....also i think its rude to attend uninvited, i would feel really akward!

Noor โ€” Wed, 23 Jan 2008 - 23:36

like i said, we're all one, i'm being serious, we're really tite our cousins and everyone thinks we're sisters. and funzo, it's all about the free food!

Funzo โ€” Wed, 23 Jan 2008 - 23:37
