For those who do not know, this place is to talk about nothing. Nada. Zilch. And everything else which according to you does not deserve it's own topic.
The other one was getting a bit long, and was just full of bickering now.
So we have a new start.

You'll be fine inshaAllah...nerves before the big day! Just make sure you take a glove or something if your going to have to shake a guy's hand. I forgot my gloves at home on the day of my graduation, and ended up standing on the stage for a good few minutes trying to pretend that i didnt see the dean's outreached hand when he offered it to me. :oops:

i'm in double mind about going to mine next year
plus it shud be my sisters postgraduate graduation next year too-dont want to be spending double money on ugly gowns and hats :roll:

I didn't want to go either but my mum really wanted to so for her sake I did and I am glad. It was a good day, was very nervous but nice seeing all my class mates after a good few months (some I didnt even recognise!).
I was last to go up coz I came last in the alphabet 🙁 due to that I thought no one is gona bother clappin coz they would get bored but since I was last I had loads of claps. I was worried I might trip but I didnt, thank god! Just went up got capped and had my hood put on from one of the guys from the back and went forward collected my degree and finished...all in a few secs!
Then we had pics taken (luckily I didnt look cheesy in them). After the ceremony dad took me out for a meal, pity sis was at work I wanted her to be there. Overall I am glad I went to my graduation, it was a good laugh.
You should defo go to yours lilsis, it's defo worth it.
P.s. we dont have hats, we have hoods so its good if you have a hijab on coz it would look daft wearing a hat.

Angel did you wear your hood over your Hijab? Is that a scottish thing? Cos we have them black hats here and do you HAVE to wear them clothes?
It's really sad but the only thing that keeps me away from wanting to attend my postgraduate - graduation is what I'd look like (them photo's are for life!) :?

See b4 our ceremony began we were told to put on our gowns (mine was nice I think, it had cool baggy sleeves and it didnt look big on the shoulders, the only bad thing bout it was my height....So basicaly before we went up on stage they put the hoods on our right arm, and we walked up and faced the chancellor who capped us and then someone from on the side took the hood off you and placed it around your neck.....it looked perfectly fine, so they dont actually put the hood on your head, just drape the thing round your neck so the hood falls back..if that makes sense?

Don't worry, you'll look great, everyone is dressed in gowns it really does look cool. I loved it today coz it was me, me, me :oops:
