The Box with the Moving Picture

Seraphim

Sup,

We all have TVs in our houses, some have one in every room

We spend about on average 8 hours a day watching it.

It would be ignorant to say it doesnt affect us in any way.

But is its effects possitive or negative?

Do the pros out weigh the cons?

whats YOUR views on the box with the moving pictures (AKA the TV)

You do realise that show was about con-artists? You dont wanna be into that.
You wanna stay at home and knit a sweater or something and learn things like propper prounouciation etc...

Leave the hustling to the bad men.

News, and House when it was on.

I like watching the news on TV, becasue you know what htye are emphasising.

You get more news online, but it is dificult to find out what the nation is focussing on.

Have you noticed the police officers ALWAYS talk about relationships when they're supposed to be doing their job properly, and then end up arguing....I doubt that happens in real life.

For the people who used to watch spooks on sky.....did you play the interactive game after the programme finished by pressing the red button.....I used to 😃

Exquisite — Sat, 9 Sep 2006 - 10:14

i watch the news, i dont like sky news or cnn i prefer my channel four news with jon snow n itv news n bbc news,i watch football, crimewatch which only gives once a month, used to watch prison break, n i love some of those documentaries on channel four eg"the 80 year old children" n i love the dispatches series on four too.

Seraphim — Sat, 9 Sep 2006 - 10:21

I rarely watch documentaries... unless its something really good. And its usually on the Discovery Channel.
I prefer online news as that way i can pick and choose what i want and i dont think its as biased as CNN or Sky News.

Exquisite — Sat, 9 Sep 2006 - 10:23

i used to do that last year whenever i was studying government and politics click on the politics section of bbc nws and hey presto so many articles on politics national n international

Thank u geniesis, finally sum1 who agrees with me,i remember once there was one when a guy climbed up to a lil girls bedroom n came thru her bedroom luckily nothing happened to her but from then on i made sure i closed my window or in summer made sure daddy came in n closed the window, also some of the crimes they feature are quite local n knwing these sort of stuff happen in the night just outside ur door freaks me out.

MuslimBro — Sun, 10 Sep 2006 - 16:03

Exquisite do you close your windows in summer?

My windows are open 24/7 in summer, unless everyone's gone out and there's no-one in the house. Sometimes we even keep our front door open, nothing bad has ever happened where someone has walked into house before ringing....except for people we know.

Exquisite — Sun, 10 Sep 2006 - 16:20

no no idont close my window in the summer thats asking for a death warrant,we cant leave our door open before in our old area we could but now its a big no no so many druggies
