media manipulates the mind.

tv you have little control over what manipulates u.

but with tv, u got comfort, u got a remote control, big screen, surround sound, u can sit back relax and take in info.

internet, u can choose how ur mind is being manipulated, to a certain extent, but not as comfy as telly, as u gotta sit up straight, type, and stare at a small screen, wait for windows to load up, install ur fav media player.

i personally dont watch much telly these days as i aint got the time. i watch more downloads..

u got torrent sites with a much wider choice of programmes, movies, cartoons from around the world to download, in HD format as well..

Takes a bit of time to download, but at least u can build up a library of media to watch.

So when ur in front of ur telly, rather than flicking through 500 channels, u know exactly what your gonna watch, as its all queued up on your pc which is connected to ur Telly.. and yeh u can get a remote..

and if u dont wanna set that up.. u might as well take ur ariel out of the back of ur telly, disconnect ur digibox.. and just buy dvd's.

Kids having imaginary friends all the time, completely normal. For various reasons. Nothing to do with TV.

Kids are like sponges they may not fully understand what we're saying but they'll take it up and try and imitate.

I've always had more of an issue with bollywood then hollywood movies...not cos one is considered more rude then the other

but cos when i watch a hollywood film i cant relate to it

yet asians on TV make me cringe more so, cos its more similar to my lifestyle

same way for some reason it bothers me more if my muslim asian mate gets a boyfriend then if my black/white non muslim one gets one

same here...i mean just take pakistani movies, theyre meant to be Muslims and theyre selling themselves short on screen...doing things that are totally against the very essence of Islam (i.e. modesty, hijab) so for me watching these movies in a way is worse than hollywood or any other western movies although they may contain the same sort of material....because mostly in western movies the actors/actresses are non-believers anyway.....although we shouldnt really be watching any of them because they all just nonsense and out to corrupt your mind.

I think hollywood/bollywood and bloody lollywood are all the same and if it was up to me they would be no more 🙂
