Assaalaam alaikum, is this it:
Hadith - Sahih Bukhari 4.543, Narrated Abu Huraira, r.a.
The Prophet said, "Allah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall. When He created him, He said to him, "Go and greet that group of angels, and listen to their reply, for it will be your greeting (salutation) and the greeting (salutation) of your offspring." So, Adam said (to the angels), As-Salamu Alaikum (i.e. Peace be upon you). The angels said, "As-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatu-l-lahi" (i.e. Peace and Allah's Mercy be upon you). Thus the angels added to Adam's salutation the expression, 'Wa Rahmatu-l-lahi.' Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adam's creation.
hahah well when you put it like that maybe I'm a little over my head! Not that that thought hasn't crossed my mind a couple thousand times - don't be in such a hurry to get married just yet
I seriously have no idea what I'm doing!
But that sucks about her family - if it's any consolation I went through the same thing with her parents since I'm not mexican and well... never will be one. The trick is to to pay her family.
That's not true.
Just keep the charm on full blast and under no circumstances take no for an answer - in fact just pretend you don't know the polish word for "no" and whenever they teach it to you immediately forget.
How long have you been seeing this girl?! How did you meet?? DETAILS MAN DETAILS!
lol well there are few more charming than yourself. Of course you do have the English accent which helps...
I dunno why girls go for that...
!@#!@#!!! brits!
And YEA Catholics are superhardcore about religion - just cut to the chase and convert, that's what I did. Family is never happy with the idea at first but after a month or so it's no big deal, and it's not like you're converting to scientology or something.
Still they do have some bizarre practices...
Ah well it's worth it - girls go wild over the idea too, and that of course carries benefits 8)
...of course that also carries consequences...
two of em
Best of luck though! I'm sure you'll wear her family down, it's pretty easy all you have to do is not go away - ever. Much like stray kittens they'll eventually have to take you in for decency's sake.
hehehheheh they'll turn you into a good little polska, you'll be chowing down pierogies before you know it.
greasy dreadful pierogies

lol well my family was not especially fond of me being a catholic but as far as I'm concerned it's a title, and they soon found that out (I didn't say I'm a GOOD Catholic). So maybe your grandmother will find solace in that... rock and a hard place there but I say stay on the team that looks like it's going to play on the field longer and playing more home games if you know what I mean
Hell I don't even know what I mean
Angel, what do I mean?
Anyway - if it looks like you have to convert and just tell your grandmother you don't believe in any of their catholicy stuff.
As for a proposal my best recommendation is throw yourself into massive debt and spend way way way more than you can afford because she's going to remember every last painstaking detail FOREVER, THEN she is going to tell all her nagging friends (that think you're a player and never liked you to begin with) her parents, her entire family and a whole host of people you have never met but are ALREADY silently judging you.
In short you have to make a huge impression - can't make any mistakes.
So if you have $15 dollars in your pocket walk right into that jewelry store pick out the 8k ring (smiling the whole time of course) and lay down every credit card you've got until the thing is paid (sorta) and you can walk out of the store with it. Then promptly get reservations at the best restaurant, make sure you bring abottle of something ridiculously expensive like Petrus and give it to the water to serve before hand, plan out a good "memory building spot" then take that 15$ you had in your pocket earlier and go buy yourself some lunch.
And that is my recommendation to you.
Might even buy your way out of the religion problem - who knows!

barelwi- Barelwi Sunnism, called the Ahle Sunnah Movement or just the Sunni movement is a movement within Sunnism that was started by Imam Ahmed Rida Khan of Bareilly, India (hence the term Barelwi).
dobandi- me! and i don't know anything else about it.
naqshbandi- Naqshbandi (Naqshbandiyya) is one of four major Sufi orders (tariqa) of Islam. Formed in 1380, the order is considered by some to be a "sober" order which believes in silent dhikr (remembrance of God) and suhbat (an intimate relationship between student and master).
The order began with Abu Bakr a constant companion of Prophet Muhammad and father-in-law, whereas most other turuq (Chishtia, Suhrawardiyya and Qadiriyyah) trace their lineage from the Prophet Muhammad through Ali ibn Abu Talib.
